Great selection of cigars. Great place to be with friends and engage in good conversation or watch the what's on the flat screen while smoking a premium cigars.

This is one of the best cigar shops I have seen in my 30 plus yrs of smoking cigars. For a small town shop, it has one of the best selections of cigars I've seen. They have what appears to be about 250 different sticks. If you are ever in the afrea, I suggest a trip to Allegheny St. Cigars. Plus the proprietor knows his stuff.

We are from Lancaster area. When in Altoona area, this is our place to stop and enjoy a nice cigar. Great selection and atmosphere.

My husband goes there just about every day. I've have gone up to the shop and it.is beautiful and vented that the cigar smoke doesn't really bother anyone. The employees are great and it's awesome meeting new people and making friends that you keep in touch with! If your a cigar smoker the humidor is fully stocked with a great variety. Stop in and visit it. Very enjoyable.

Fantastic selection of cigars. This is the place to go in central Pennsylvania for cigars! A warm, inviting atmosphere, coupled with friendly staff, is the standard of business at Allegheny Street Cigar Company. The seating is comfortable, as is the company you'll keep here. Stopping by here on a trip to the historic Diamond in Hollidaysburg is an absolute must!

Discovered the Cigar Company while getting a terrific cup of joe. The Allegheny St. Cigar Co. is located right on the square, upstairs from the gourmet coffee shop. Walked in and was faced with a band of boys puffing away, and watching Penn State football. I'd found my momentary nirvana.
Ken and Tim, both of whom are tobacconists who work at the cigar bar, were both there, enjoying a smoke, the jokes, and the blokes. As a novice, I appreciated the warm greetings of the gang, each introducing himself, and the early help of Ken and Tim in explaining the layout, the humidor and its generous array of premium cigars, and how it all "works." I especially appreciated the kind, gentle introduction and education about some of the brands available.
The chairs are comfortable, the TV big and clear (and they had the words on the screen for those more interested in the game than the good conversation), the camaraderie welcoming and warm, the cutters and lighters ample and varied, pretzel munchies free, and there was even an offering of one smoker's local blueberry brandy. For serious cigar aficionados, the establishment offers an attractive and secure locker bank that is available even when the store's closed.
For veteran cigar buffs or novices like me, I happily share and recommend this gem. And if you're in the mood, the coffee variations downstairs are terrific, and the pizza next door delectable. Go and spend some time making some new pals and enjoying a terrific stogie.
The only downside? If you aren't looking, you might not know this haven is even there, as there ain't no cigar-store Indian there. And btw, you'll not be thrown out, even if you are a Redskin fan or refuse to reject the mascot.
