Recently attended "The Cemetery Club"performance at this theater. Easy to purchase tickets online while selecting date and desired seating location. Seatin is on three sides of the floor-type stage. Seating is limited to approx. 350 without a bad seat in the house. Intermission snacks are limited to sodas and candy. Nice atmosphere and cordial staff. Hope this helps.

I've attended shows here for the last 8 or 9 years. Some years I've been a season subscriber. I have never been to a show that was less than excellent. Given that the ticket prices are under $20 you can't beat it. For touring shows at the Hershey Theater you can pay $35 and up for nose-bleed level seats. Here... More

This is a theater with seats on 3 sides and it is open seating so get there early for the best seats. Parking is not easy as this is in a development and there didn't seem to be separate parking for the theater - or I could not find it. They do have some refreshments for sale at intermission. They... Each year for the past two years we have looked over the Hershey Area Playhouse schedule and purchased four seats to each of the shows we decide we would like to see. That way we are able to invite a couple of friends to go with us each time, which makes it even more enjoyable. So far, we have seen... More

Was invited by my sister in law, who has been involved with this group for a few years. What a great job they did with "Its a Wonderful life". Small unique theater, made you feel as if you were part of the play itself. I agree there is not a bad seat in the house.

Was visiting a friend in Hershey back in May and had the good fortune to see "Leading Ladies" at the Hershey Area Playhouse. It was a zany, funny show...well acted and well attended. I love that the actors come out into the lobby after the show to greet everyone and thank them for supporting the theatre. I am from the... More

All the plays we saw there were very good. It is a rather small place, with good shows. Good seating. Can"t say nothing bad about the place. Will return. Very professional.

Attended my first show today, A Christmas Carol, at the Hershey Area theater. Seating is stadium style so I do agree with the other reviews that it is difficult to get a bad seat. That being said, the 2nd rows are the same level as the first row so I did have to maneuver the folks in front of me... More

All the Plays that are put on are great. Seats are very good no matter where you sit. The theatre is very clean. Enjoyed it very much.

I enjoyed this theatre very much. The stage design is a thrust, meaning you can sit on three sides and still see a great deal of the action. It is small and intimate and all actors and crew members are hired locally and often times volunteer. The only qualm I had was the parking, which there is no designated parking... More
