This zoo contains only North American animals and is a perfect place to enjoy a few hours outdoors at any age. Like most zoos- the best time to visit is early morning or evening on cool cloudy days when the animals are most likely to be active!

Animals are almost at your reach, it’s a nice walk, there is a lot of room for social distancing, it’s shaded lots of places to sit

My sons and I visited as a 17th birthday trip for my younger son. We have always made a point of visiting the zoo when we travel to Lancaster County. This trip, during Covid 19, was a disappointment. We had high hopes that things would be well managed, but that wasn't the case. We went through temperature screenings and went outside. We ran into the first problem almost immediately. The lynx kittens were out, they are adorable, but everyone going in to the zoo and streaming out to Hershey Park, ended up in a bottle neck, where NO ONE could move. Moving past there, we were so surprised to see more than 75% of guests with their masks off or inappropriately worn. There were no staff at stations to move people along or to remind guests to wear their masks. There was little to no signage to make the journey through the zoo comfortably distanced. Guests were simply streaming and milling around everywhere. Hand Sanitizers were, for the most part, completely empty, thankful I brought some for both my kids and I. Signs to leave the zoo for the parking lot were not clear, we ended up alongside a closed indoor attraction and had to turn around to figure out how to leave. I think we spent nearly 40 minutes just trying to get past crowded areas and didn't see many animals because of the problems we encountered. I would have loved to see more control over direction of travel and definitely more staff to remind guests to distance and to stay masked up. I dont know that we will return again anytime soon

This attraction is limited in animal exhibits. The entire experience was disappointing for my kids. Nothing was open!

My friend and I are not that into rides so we were hoping to spend a significant amount of time at the Zoo but unfortunately any exhibits that are indoors are closed so an hour was plenty of time.
