If it weren't for the roses, Hershey Gardens would not be worth the price. OK, the roses are lovely, even though I visited about 10 days past the peak blooms. The weather was sunny, dry and pleasant, but can we be honest? If you have...More

The gardens are a short walk from Hershey Hotel so that was a bonus. I can’t speak to the value as garden entry was included in our package but I’m glad we went. The gardens are on the smaller side and are well maintained with...More

Hershey Gardens cannot be compared to Longwood Gardens or other really iconic gardens, but it has some unique attractions of its own. Most reviewers mentioned the Rose Garden, the Children's Garden or the Butterfly House. I enjoyed all of those sites, too, but I was...More

Pros: very enjoyable afternoon, lovely grounds, and pleasant staff. Walking paths were very nice, too. The Butterfly house alone is worth the trip. Cons: quite a few weeds.

One of the most beautiful places in Hershey along with the Hershey Hotel grounds. Roses were fully in bloom with so many different colors and kinds. Diverse habitat and plants. All parts of the garden were well labeled for great learning experience. The history of...More

Absolutely beautiful. The butterfly atrium is a cant miss! My girls aged 9 and 15 loved this part of the trip. Admission is free if you stay at the Lodge or Hotel. Definitely worth the trip.

Visited right when they opened at 9am. With military discount and kids under 3, we paid only $9.50 to enter and bought a butterfly identifier for $1. The grounds are well kept, nice easy walking paths, and the roses were very fragrantful. We didn't actually...More

The main building overlooks Hersheypark but other than that there's no indication of that (which is a good thing). You walk into the main building which has a learning area and a butterfly exhibit. The butterfly exhibit is cool as there are several different species...More

No you can not. These are well maintained gardens so I don't think want to risk killing a plant or grass from dogs.
