The main building had 2 areas of interest, a large room with decorated Christmas trees, which was nice (they were professionally and elaborately decorated) and the main attraction, the butterfly atrium. After a few minutes enjoying the trees, I headed into the atrium and really...More

This was hands down one of the highlights of our trip. They had an exhibit featuring almost a dozen gorgeous Christmas trees and it was really a beautiful display. The butterfly room was AMAZING and SO much fun to meander along the path and snap...More

On my 6th trip to Hershey Garderns I guess you could say I am hooked. A great way to pace the day and spend time indoors and outdoors as time and weather permits. In summer the Rose Garden is spectacular. They sometimes sell some of...More

I had heard they decorated for the Christmas holiday so we went one afternoon, the entry fee wasn't much - around $11. The outdoor grounds didn't have much but it is a nice walk if it's not cold. I'd imagine it to be just beautiful...More

Even though it was winter, it was a beautiful walk outside in the gardens. There is a magical butterfly atrium to visit. Can't wait to go back when the various gardens are in bloom, Children's, Japanese, Bouder etc.

We came in November, which, much of the outside flowers were not in bloom, but, I would have gone anyway for the Butterflies alone!! Beautiful and Serene in there, it's a small area but butterflies everywhere, such beautiful colors, too.

Yes, they do decorate a number of trees inside. I do not believe that they decorate the gardens but am not sure. I am sure the hotel will also be decorated as well.

First Time To Hershey..Help Me Please (3 Replies)
A few questions.. 1. Are all the attractions in Hershey fairly close in proximitty? I'm mainly interested in the Hershey Gardens, Auto Museum, Hershey Hotel, etc. 2. Do you recommend any specific attractions for 2 sixty years olds to do in Hershey.. Thanks so much.

Hi, We went to Hershey a few years ago and had a blast. Yes, most attractions are close together, the town is not that big. It is a cute town. Be sure to see the Hershey kisses street lights downtown. By all means see the hotel and gardens. If you continue on the road in front of the hotel, there is a good view of the city and amusement park. The amusement park is fun, and not all rides are roller coaster types, so you might enjoy it. The Zoo is part of the park, so you might enjoy that....More
Hershey Hotel Garden/Trolly (4 Replies)
Hi All, I have a few questions. My husband and I are staying at the Hershey Hotel In October. He will be on business Mon-Thur that we will be there. I will be on my own these 4 days. I looked on Trip Advisor for things to do near the hotel that are safe and interesting. I would like to go to Hershey Gardens and do the trolly tour. Does anyone know if these are all walking distance to the Hershey Hotel? I really do not want to have to drive while I am there. I am really looking forward to...More

We have stayed at the lodge before and they have bus service to the gardens/park/zoo/factory. You get the trolley tour from where the factory tour is. This factirt tour is cute, really more for kids, think disney ride, but enjoyable for one go through as an adult. You can shop for treats or get an ice cream while you are there. I am sure with the Hotel hershey being more upscale they too have the same bus service.

Hershey's Water Works & other kid activities (2 Replies)
Hello, I will be visiting the hershey lodge for 3 days with a 4 year old and 2 year old next month. Our main focus will be the indoor water park but i am assuming we can't spend all day there. Is this correct? how many hours before it becomes boring? My first thought is to venture out for the morning and then come back to the water park for the afternoon. The Hershey Story museum looks like it has activities for kids. We've been to the zoo before so its not imperative we visit, especially...More
