Hershey starts here! How did Milton Hershey go from bankruptcy to brilliance, transforming chocolate from a luxury to an everyday treat? How did he invent a community? Why did he give away his fortune? That's the Hershey story. Enjoy a 45-minute, hands on class in the Chocolate Lab and sample warm drinking chocolate from around the world at Tastings. Grab a delicious treat from the Pantry Café and find a unique assortment of keepsakes and chocolate at Museum Shop.

Nice museum. It is a self guided tour. I think you would get more out of it, if it was a guided tour. I also felt $10.00 per person is a little high for a walk through museum.

My wife and I visited this museum. Labeled (now at least) as the newest museum in Hershey, the central location and free parking garage right behind the museum per definite pluses! As for the museum, we did the basic ticket, without customizing a chocolate bar,...More

The Hershey Story Museum is rare in that it is so well balanced that it would be hard not to find something to enjoy here. The first fun & informative stop in the museum is the Xplor-O-Scope. This is a Steampunk style kiosk (gears, levers...More

We visited the Milton Hershey museum on this, our first trip to Hershey. We are two adults and it's a great activity for both adults and families. It's an interactive museum that is very well done. For example, they have a section showing how chocolate...More

Has anyone done the chocolate tastings with kids. We will be travelling to Hershey with four kids (ages 10, 9, 7 and 4). We saw that they have a tasting for kids, but it basically just looks like a fun drink for them. That might work for the 4 year old, but I imagine the older kids will want in on the chocolate tasting. Is this an appropriate activity for kids of that age? The website seems to imply that it is for adults? Also, we will be going to Chocolate World as well. Does it make sense to do both chocolate tastings? Lastly, how is the chocolate lab at The Hershey Story?

The drinks can be fun for kids, but my wife and I found them to be bitter, so if your kids are picky, it's not going to be a great experience. My wife and I enjoyed it. Regarding the Chocolate Lab, somewhat pricey, but our... More

Could we realistically DO BOTH Hershey Story Museum starting at 1:30--THEN hit Chocolate World Factory later in the evening round 6:30? Are the both redundant? Should a person DO BOTH---if no--which would you suggest? W heave teenagers boy-14 and girl-17. THANKS!

For the Hershey Museum, if you took the time to look at (and read about) everything in the museum and tried the tastings and chocolate lab, you should be done in about 2 - 2 1/2 hours. They are not redundant because the... More
