City Island one of my favorite places in Hbg

best thing about the island is FNB park and the Harrisburg Senators AA baseball club! The team gear could be a little less expensive. It's too much for the average fan. Have a... read more

Great place to visit ! Take the family ! The miniature golf is right beside the Susquehanna River and lends a great view. Senators Baseball is the affiliate to the Washington Nationals and provides a great game of fun and see the future talent in the Major Leagues - The Pride of the Susquehanna is a great boat ride all... It was a beautiful night to walk. The attendant at the hotel suggested here. It was easy to find and parking was easy. The Harrisburg AA team was playing a double header. Very nice ball park. There is also a walking bridge that connects the island to the city. Great way to spend a quiet evening of gazing at the... More

best thing about the island is FNB park and the Harrisburg Senators AA baseball club! The team gear could be a little less expensive. It's too much for the average fan. Have a Spot Dog, they are great. The boardwalk in the stadium is great as it allows you to walk the whole way around the field and get many... More

We had visitors who had a 5 year old and a 7 year old. we went over to City Island to take a boat ride, the Pride of the Susquehanna. After a pleasant hour on the boat the kids were ready to run. There was ample space to walk, a great playground, a mini golf area and a very nice... More

Nice hike from downtown Harrisburg. The view from City Island was clear and beautiful. Take a picnic lunch or take a short cruise.

This is a really nice area. It had play area for kids, train/paddleboat rides, minor league baseball park, seems like a great place to take kids.

It's a nice walk around. The shops are barely ever open anymore. The gulf are is pretty nice when you want to take the kids to do something.

Peace at the edge of the water or City Island is so close and yet is another world. One visit and on the way home, you are planning your next visit and who can join you.

City Island has lots to do: catch a Senators baseball game, ride the Pride of the Susquehanna Riverboat, mini-golf, batting cages, a walk or run, pets welcome, enjoy the peace and quiet of the river, eat from the vendors. Kids can run, it is wheelchair accessible, everyone can sit and relax. And it's free admission. :-). Can walk from Harrisburg... More

This island used to be full of activity. It is home to the Senators baseball team and the Pride of the Susquehanna River boat. WE were shocked at how unkept the island is. After parking to go on the Riverboat, their were many containers of trash overflowing, not emptied! The batting cage area is in disarray. Many people come here... More
