In town on a business trip and found City Island on our drive back to the hotel from dinner. Very glad we stopped to check it out. The island is fairly unique, with some nice trails to walk, or bike, and has a walking bridge...More

I have heard about the "train bridge" from my kids since they first visited it 12 years ago. It did not disappoint! Something about being suspended high over the Susquehanna river where countless trains once crossed is truly magical. The view over the river is...More

It always fun to come to City Island, even though there is not as much here as what used to be. But the grandkids loved the train ride and of course the ice cream!

Beautiful venue right alongside the water. It is well maintained with nice water features, a swing set to relax and enjoy the water view between holes of golf. A nice place for kids, groups, and couples of all ages!

I went to see a minor league baseball team here with my kids and it was a blast. They had good food and souvenirs which the kids loved.

The Harrisburg Senators are a minor league team owned by the Washington Nationals. The stadium, FNB Field, is located on City Island. It is easy to get to, but parking will cost you $5. If you are a baseball fan you will enjoy the closeness...More

If you are young child great place to go. Many activities on the island and the prices are ok. The Baseball field and in-stadium activities are a bid pricey for a AA franchise. They keep trying but need to cleanup a few things first. Boat...More

Even without the Senators there are still things to do. There is a playground for kids, a mini golf course, batting cages, an arcade, volley ball courts, a little "beach", and a walking trail. If you have time Riverfront... More
