Pat’s sewing is my cats favorite place to get her catnip toys. She’s turning 19 and she LOVES them. They keep her busy for hours. Pat is a wonderful, friendly lady. Jazmine says thanks for her present!!

Love Pat's Sewing! Ms. Pat is a fantastic seamstress! No matter what I have asked her to make for me, it comes out beautifully. From catnip toys for my cat to 6' Christmas tree skirt, everything is perfect. Reasonable prices!!! I live in Baltimore but seasonal in Gettysburg and no matter where I am, a phone call or and email or stopping in at the Market, she always has what I need or will make it and have it ready for me!

I was really looking forward to having another local farmers market but this one is half empty and most of the vendors are not food related. The prices are way to high compared to Hanover Market and Morningstar. I really think this could be a great place for shopping but they need to fill the spaces and work on pricing.

Went on a Thursday and it’s basically a glorified food court with some random booths that weren’t all opened. Maybe it’s better during events. Looks like locals will go there for lunch breaks if they work in the area.

I recently discovered, on a shopping trip to the market, that all the produce and deli products are repackaged. For example, the sour cream at the Stoltzfus deli is actually Daisy . Every thing in the deli is bought from vendors you are familiar with and repackaged in their containers with the Stoltzfus name on it. Yep, you can buy the same products at your local grocer for cheaper. The package never opened or handled by anyone else but you. Not the case at this deli.
The vegetables stand, same thing. All the berries are repackaged in containers that make it look freshly picked. It’s not. They are Driscols. The stickers are removed off the fruit and veggies. You can buy the same fruits and veggies at your local groceries for less. I wouldn’t bet on the pies being Amish either. Most likely they are repackaged as well.
I have to wonder if the people who work these stands are actually Amish. The deception is unbelievable. It’s a disgrace to our community and should not be allowed. The only locally grown produce stand was under sold by the Amish and had to leave the market. The So called Amish stand would check the prices of locally grown stand and under sell them. WOW!!!!!
So disgusted.

I go to the market every week. I purchase a few things from Shady Maple Bakery, the large meat counter and produce stand, and Jackson Square Winery, the meat counter and then enjoy lunch at the Artisan Pizza, Korean food or Suzies Tacos. I really enjoy this gem of a market!

Took the wife and little guy to Hanover yesterday to look at a new house and we discovered a wonderful market with a great variety of vendors waiting to be explored. No matter if you're looking for a nice bottle of wine or have been curious about what all the fuss is about the Vietnamese dish "Pho" (pronounced Fa) or nearly any other food craving... Or perhaps you are looking for Amish built crafts or furnishings The Markets at Hanover are worth exploring!!! Bring your appetite and extra cash because you will find things you want and you won't want to leave empty handed!
