You can see and smell the making of the famous Utz Potato Chips and Snacks at our over 600,000 square foot facility in Hanover, Pennsylvania.

There, we have built a special glass enclosed observation gallery that looks down on our production process from beginning to end. You will be guided step-by-step with the aid of a push-to-talk audio program and closed-circuit TV monitors. A wall display of Utz's history will enhance your understanding of the company and its products.

From start to finish, you'll be impressed with the care we put into Utz Potato Chips. At Utz, we use the finest ingredients and the most advanced equipment. Our factory is one of the cleanest and most modern snack food operations in America.

The Utz Potato Chip Trip is fun for the whole family, a learning experience for young and old, and a snack lover's delight. Come and enjoy the free tour at your own pace!

Went to the Utz Potato Chip Factory Tour with our teenage boys. We liked that you just walk in and then walk down a hallway to see everything on the factory floor. It was a quick tour done at our pace (ours is fast, no films and they boys didn't want to listen to taped tour). It was interesting to... More

Very interesting tour if you can manage the long flight of stairs and can stand through the long but informative films. The parking lot guard said they do offer an elevator for handicapped guests if you call ahead but folks in wheelchairs probably can't see through the windows overlooking the shop floor (they do have steps so kids can see.)... This is a do it on your own tour. It was neat. We saw potatoes rolling off the truck and into the plant. Kids enjoyed seeing how chips are made.

We took the tour that was a self guided experience. We were able to watch the total process starting with raw potatoes being unloaded to the final product ready to be shipped. I spent many years in the grocery and found this tour very educational. The employees were friendly and watching them work one could see the system and timing... More

It's very rare that nowadays you come across a tour for free and even my 18 year old teenager was impressed with this Ultz Chip Tour. It's great watching the humble potatoe become a tasty chip. It was also fun when one of the Packers looked up and gave us a smile and a wave. This is one tour I... More

Fun self guided tour. It's amazing how organized they are. Couldn't believe the high-tech camera to detect the imperfections in the chips.

My family and I are maybe a little weird but we tend to really enjoy factory tours. We stopped by Utz to see how chips are made and found the tour fun and interesting. We were there maybe 30 minutes total and only saw two other people the whole time we were there. Seeing that the chips are really just... More

Even though we can finally get Utz chips in Ohio, you still have to stop at their retail store to find items that you can't sometimes find everywhere. I always come out with more than I anticipated on buying. I have always said that Utz chips are the best ever. Their hard pretzels are also addictive. Bet you can't eat... More
