Great for kids and adults alike if you haven't visited. It's a self guided tour but you meet a couple of employees as well, see video outlining the processes and of course get to sample some fresh chips.

This is a great educational tour of chip making. You walk above the actual factory from the unloading of the potatoes, to the washing, cutting, cooking, seasoning and final boxing and distribution process. The factory outlet for their products is not far away.

I toured the UTZ factory with my 4 yo and 10 mo. The tour and parking are both free. My 4yo was very interested and enjoyed the tour very much. It is a self based tour and it took about 30 minutes for us to see everything. There was an option to press a button at each window and a... More

We had seen this tour before but I think the warehouse area has been added since our last visit. This time we brought 2 teenagers and we all enjoyed it. Beware there are 2 flights of stairs to get there and then the automated tour is down a long hall. If you have walking issues this could be a problem... More

The UTZ Factory Tour I visited recently with my family was very enjoyable and and very interesting. The self guided tour showed the actual making of the chip from the cleaning of the potato to the packing of the chips. A small small bag of fresh chips was given to each visitor along with $1.00 off coupon to use for... More

If you're looking for a fun outing, this is it! You can see the complete "chip making" process. It begins with washing the potatoes, then peeling & slicing them, frying them & adding the salt, & finally, adding the seasoning & filling the bags. It was even interesting watching the workers put the bags in the boxes. They had a... More

Went to the Utz Potato Chip Factory Tour with our teenage boys. We liked that you just walk in and then walk down a hallway to see everything on the factory floor. It was a quick tour done at our pace (ours is fast, no films and they boys didn't want to listen to taped tour). It was interesting to... More

Very interesting tour if you can manage the long flight of stairs and can stand through the long but informative films. The parking lot guard said they do offer an elevator for handicapped guests if you call ahead but folks in wheelchairs probably can't see through the windows overlooking the shop floor (they do have steps so kids can see.)... This is a do it on your own tour. It was neat. We saw potatoes rolling off the truck and into the plant. Kids enjoyed seeing how chips are made.
