I took my two youngest (7.9) grandsons tent camping on Pickerel Point in Promised Land. The sites in that area were very small and on top of each other. There were also walk-in sites on the lake shore which I might try if I were...More

We stayed in Pines Campground and found our site to be large, flat, shaded, perfect! We stayed Labor Day weekend and while we did have less than ideal neighbors the rangers and campground host kept everything reasonable.

Promised land state park is a nice, quiet little getaway. I only wish other people would properly cancel their reservations if they weren’t going. It’s a clean campground with lake view and lake front sites.

I have been camping at this wonderful state park for nearly sixty years. It holds some of the best memories of my life. Most of them revolve around the Deerfield and Pickerel Point areas. Several years ago, my wife and I camped in one of...More

Very nice cabin area with private shower house. You may want to bring a few suction cup hooks to hang things. Lots of hiking trails and places to explore by bike.

I took a break from a long drive to take a short hike in the Bruce Lake/Little Egypt area. I was on the Kleinhan and Cut trails. It was among the most beautiful hikes I've done in a PA State Park. But, I understood why...More

It is a nice park but I was shocked at how the grass was. It looks like the haven't cut it yet. It was hard to walk in. We were in the campground and at the lake. It was the same everywhere. I would give...More

Take a look at the Pickeral Point campground map. I prefer the lakeside walk in sites on the right side/eastern side. Sites have chunky gravel cover so a cot is recommended. Enjoy
