We went on two trails; Little Falls and Conservation Island. Both take about an hour, try the falls first as it is tougher. Not often have I been in such a relaxing park with crystal clear water. I hope I have the opportunity to go back.

Beautiful place to visit in the early fall. We stayed in the cabins which was a lot of fun. Lots of nature and we even saw a big black bear!

Super clean, well maintained, beautiful! My husband and I came on a couples getaway. I immediately felt guilty for not bringing my kids! They would love it! We plan on staying a pickrell point next summer. Beautiful sites, lake, park and beaches.

The park is a great place to relax. The upper lake, especially on a non-weekend in summer is very quite and serene. The bicycle ride around the upper lake is very easy, about 8 miles, and very little car traffic. When there is a car, they are moving slowly. So it is fine for even small children to bicycle. The... We wanted to take a day trip we could hike with the dog. We took her on the Little Falls trail, she loved the water and on the island trail. Island trail had a lot of nice places to sit and eat a picnic lunch and just relax. Would like to come back for a longer stay with her. It... More

We only had 2 days/1 night in the area, so stayed at a motel. We went here on Wed. 9/14/16 to rent kayaks, and enjoy the beautiful lake and beach--but the boat rental was closed, with no note or explanation. We then went to the main park office, and the manager didn't know why or that it was closed. The... More

We were not here very long just passing by but I just wanted to write a review to warn people we saw two black bear cubs right by the road near this park. I'm sure that's probably common but we're from Long Island and it isn't common for us LOL

Great place for camping, boating, swimming. Great beach for families with snack stand. Showers for campers and boat slips. Plenty of activities within driving distance.

We are from out of state and it amazes me that all the state parks are free.We spent an hour at this park and numerous other parks to let our dog walk around and play. Very clean area.

We camped at Promised Land last week. It is a wonderful place to go. The camp sights are clean and neat. The park facilities are great and have recently been rebuilt. I strongly recommend it as one of the best state park camping locations in the East.
