This used to be a pristine campground when they first put in this new section, and if you are lucky, you can snag one of the newer full hook up with sewer sites. Have to be careful which one you pick, however, since getting a...More

This place is great. I would definitely come back! We went mid-June. The water was warm and the animals were abundant. We saw a small black bear, a bald eagle, a deer, a few raccoons. Our loop, lower lake -Rhododendron, was maybe 50-60% full, which...More

My husband and I visited Promised Land on a weekend trip to the Poconos. There are beautiful lakes and trails all around. I can't wait to visit again when all the foliage is changing colors!

For some reason my computer won't let me click on a better rating, but this place was great, even in January. We only camped one night but it was comfortable, clean ammenities and there were lots of friendly day people. The lake looked inviting and...More

We traveled here twice in last two years. Both visits were during the summer. We enjoyed the lake area, the kids had fun swimming in the water. One visit wasn't crowded and it was pretty quiet. Lots of wildlife around. We saw ducks, deer, snakes...More

There are some sites on the water edge near the beaches where you can launch your own kayaks etc.. Otherwise there are numerous launch areas. You can call the park directly for the campsites next to the water.
