I like this park and we enjoyed the short hike to the Little Waterfall. Could use a better map to keep on the trail.

We stayed on site 160 with a 26 ft travel trailer, it was very narrow and unlevel. Although the park is pretty is has very few sites made for actual rvs, most would make nice tent or popup sites. We were just looking for an...More

We really enjoyed our weekend stay in Promised Land State Park. It was much bigger than the parks we usually stay at and it was nice there were some shops close by. Very convenient for getting ice and other essentials. The lake is beautiful and...More

Promised Land is my favorite state park. There is so much to do and it is very close to major restaurants (if camp fire cooking isn't your thing). The hiking is great there are so many trails. We can't wait to go back.

Great place to hike. Unbelievable scenery and well marked. Did the Little Falls trail. Will return to do a different one.

It was out first time camping with a group, so we were not sure what to expect, but the place is grate, the bathrooms and showers are very clean and working, trails are marked and well kept. It was a good first camping experience.

We spent three days here to relax after a busy few days at the arts festivals in State College. And relax we did! I have no idea why this park is so under-utilized but it is. We amused ourselves by driving through all the campgrounds...More

Rented four campsites in the Beechwood section of the park for our annual family reunion. Great time had by all as sites were spacious, level and clean. New fire grates at each site. Restrooms clean, really immaculate. Host on the premises was helpful and informative....More

There are some sites on the water edge near the beaches where you can launch your own kayaks etc.. Otherwise there are numerous launch areas. You can call the park directly for the campsites next to the water.
