The Tom Ridge Environmental Center has a huge tower. There are great views from there, however, it was a bit too cold for us to enjoy the views. When we parked here we found signs that they used plants that were acclimated to the local soil, climate and weather. Most of the time they don't need extra water or fertilizer.... More

This fairly new energy efficiency conscious building houses a variety of great displays about Presque Isle State Park and the natural world of the Presque Isle Peninsula. This is family oriented and the displays downstairs and upstairs could occupy a few hours time easily. There is a nice gift shop and a cafe as well as 2 towers filled with... More

The Visitor Center is right at the entrance of Presque Isle! You definitely want to stop in for sweeping views of the Lake Erie from their FREE Lookout Tower! You also have a nice view of the expansive water park as well! The elevator takes you to the top so it is totally wheelchair accessible too! They have a very... More

While we stopped for a bite at the cafe, which we find worth visiting in itself, we plan to bring the grand-kids next time we come up from Pittsburgh. So much to do and I also find the exhibits and displays interesting. The staff is well versed in the materials available and extremely enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful about your visit.

This is a great place for children to learn by touching and using interactive exhibits. The fish and greenhouse are really cool in the back. They're should be a sign so more people know about them. The view from the tower is amazing.

The Tom Ridge Environmental Cntr is a great find! You learn of the wildlife and the evolution of Presque Isle in this tiny two floor, free, museum/info center. It has old time photos and wildlife exhibits that showcase the Park. There is a large movie screen theatre that shows interesting films for a fee. A great gift shop which carries... More

We enjoy the Tom Ridge Environmental Center at all times of the year. Don't miss the views of Lake Erie from the top of the tower.

Nice place for kids and family to see and learn about the Erie Beach/Peninsula areas. Love the old historic photos of the beaches and town folk.

We had our daughters 8th birthday party with her friends at TREC and it was awesome! The kids had a great time exploring and then had "class" with one of the rangers. The Class was an educational talk about animals that live on Presque Isle. Live turtles as well as other visual hands on things for the kids to look... More
