We did the Sunset Cruise from 7-9. It was the perfect time weather wise in terms of heat, it was beautiful to see the sunset, and it was relaxing! Felt so nice to have our own table and enjoy the sights. Everyone was very friendly, the crew, the bartender, the waitstaff. The only thing we would recommend is to use something other than styrofoam for distributing the food..we understand it's normally a buffet and Covid and all but the styrofoam was very weak and broke on us when we tried to lift it and got some food on us. Also, you guys put on such a classy evening, it takes away from it! Otherwise, we highly recommend this cruise.

We had Captain Mark and he was nice and informative. All crew members were very nice and welcoming. We took the advice of so many others on the reviews and did the sightseeing only ticket and skipped the meal. There were only 2 other people that did that besides us. If you don't get the meal, you are assigned the upper deck, as the other two floor are assigned meal seating. The upper deck in not covered, so bring sunscreen if you feel you need it. The boat stayed in the area and did not go out into the open waters, as wind was an issue. It was a nice relaxing scenic ride and the sunset was pretty. It was the smallest paddle boat that I have been on and needs some fixing up, but the price is great and it is worth the visit.

I would have given a much high score, but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate that evening. There were gale force winds and rain that night, so no cruise, moored to the dock for the dinner, very rocky. The food was pretty good; however, mine was barely lukewarm, I can eat cold pizza, but cold chicken park not so much, that didn't bother my Husband who ate all of his plus both of my meatballs. Virtually everyone on the boat ate quickly and debarked because of the weather.

We took a "Happy Hour" cruise on a Wednesday, and had a great time. The drinks and "specials" for the day were great - loved "The Lake Erie Monster " (like a blue Long Island Tea!!). We ordered a cheese tray for $15, was 3 types of cheese and 2 types of crackers. Enough for 4 people.
The boat has 3 levels, and the upper deck was packed. That's where the DJ was too. There was a private party on the 2nd deck, so that wasn't ideal, but still had plenty of room.
The 2 bartenders worked non-stop - my only suggestion would have been to have the bar on the 2nd deck open so those guests didn't have to come down and stand in our line, which just made it take a bit longer.
Love Lake Erie though!!

The music play list was horrible! The captain gave a brief safety annoucement at the beginning of the boat ride and then there was no history or details about the sights during the evening...just the awful music.
We purchased just the sight seeing ticket because we didn't care for the menu choice of the night. We were glad that we decided to skip the food when we seen it. It didn't look very appitizing and we heard some of the dnner guests complaining about it. I watched the staff fix the dessert plates as we were waiting to board and they did it without gloves, so that turned me off.
We did enjoy being able to move around the boat as we wanted and the upper deck was outfitted with lights and plenty of tables and chairs to enjoy a drink at. You can buy sodas at a reasonable price with free refills.
We did not go far into Lake Erie at all. You only go past the edge of Presque Isle and then you circle back around into the Bay. We were in the Bay just ideling for about a half hour at the end of the tour. The lights on the bay side were pretty but it was disapointing to not go out a little farther.
We have three grown children that were with my husband and I and they had an even worse opinion of the tour than this revew.
The boat is NOT clean. Cobwebs and plenty of spiders in the windows. It needs a major update as well.
I enjoyed being with my family on the water and most of the staff was nice so that is why I didn't give it a Terrible rate and just Poor.

The weather looked ideal for our 9/12/2020 dinner cruise on the Victorian Princess...and it was! The three of us were warmly greeted and welcomed aboard to the second deck in a timely manner. Although our original plan was for my SO, myself and another couple to attend and share a memorable evening of fun together, unfortunately one person had to renege. When I apprised Betty (the registration agent) of the situation, the cost of one ticket was immediately refunded! Pandemic protocol was strictly enforced both by patrons and employees which made for a worry-free evening.

The meal prepared by Colony Bar and Grille was superb as was the catering expertise of caterers Dominique and Kathleen. I couldn't say no to any of the food choices: the presentation of braised beef, stuffed chicken breast and pasta was that good! I'm not excited about chicken BUT this dish was like eating chicken gravy over biscuits. I even asked about the recipe! And I must add that according to the guys, the braised beef was "The best I've ever eaten!"

And what can I say about the quiet, efficient service of Dominique and Kathleen? They were available at every turn. When I spilled my iced tea, they were there with napkins for moping up and, without having to ask, offered to replace my drink.

Yes, our dinner cruise is now a fun-filled memorable event. We shall return!

My fiance and I got engaged on this boat August 2018. It was great then! We went in October 2022 and it was also really good! We did the sightseeing part only. There are so many other places in Erie to eat. People writing all the bad reviews come on its lake Erie not the ocean what do you expect? This boat ride is so worth it. It's a boat on water it's not gonna be spotless. You get to go on a calm sturdy boat with your other person. We did sunset cruises both times and eat time it was beautiful! The staff are so friendly! Drinks are sooo cheap and if you have 2 or 3 you are feeling great by the end. The ONLY negative thing I can say is the music is HORRIBLE. They need to turn it down some and put on some slow country music so it's more romantic. It's a short ride and it's so cheap so it's worth it. We will return here often as we have a great time and are able to enjoy each other's company. I don't recommend taking children under 10. It's more of an adult thing but they could be alright with good parenting. It's a boat not a playground

Monday Sept 13th 2021 Dinner Sunset Cruise

The cruise itself was very nice and relaxing.
We booked the evening for 10 guests.
When I purchased our tickets online (Sept. 2nd) menu stated we would be served the following:
Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya with Jasmine Rice.
Sweet Barbecue Country Style Pork Ribs.
Three Cheese Macaroni and Cheese.
Brown Sugar Glazed Baby Carrots and rolls
What we received instead was:
A soggy salad, a roll, frozen vegetable medley, potato wedges,
over cooked stuffed shells, and one piece of chicken.
When one of the guests asked for an additional tab of butter they were told one per person.
The food served was subpar at best and not worth $29.00 per plate.
After we disembarked, several of us were still hungry and went to get pizza.
Very disappointing end to otherwise beautiful evening.

NEVER again!

First of all my best friend and I have taken this sunset dinner cruise every year for her birthday for about the last 5 years, and I have gone other times with the bf, so Ive been on it at least 6-7 times. Never once have they ventured into the lake regardless of how calm the waters are--even when the capt remarks how calm they are, so don't expect to. The food has gone steadily downhill over the years. Last year it was cheap pasta from, I believe the Oakwood, and completely tasteless. This year we chose this day specifically to get this caterer, and checked the menu online (I wonder how many people didnt and didnt know the meal wasnt as advertised) La Bella Italiano and the menu was to be: Parmesan w/ angel hair pasta, Ragu Bolognese, Alfredo Vegetable Lasagna, Rosemary Roasted Red Potatoes, Italian Mix Veg, Fresh bread with homemade dipping oil, classic Caesar salad, Dessert Assortment. Sounds wonderful. What we got was SPAGHETTI and either baked or fried chicken (not both unless you got in line again if some was left). Yucky "Italian" vegetables, (Although what made them Italian I dont know it was just boiled broccoli, cauliflower and carrots) NO Potatoes, NO salad, NO bread and the assorted desserts were a brownie, a cupcake or a cookie. So the bait and switch was instead of 3 delicious sounding complex entrees and 2 vegetables with bread/oil and salad we got 2 of the cheapest entrees you can serve, one veg and nothing else. There was coffee service and watered down Sprite was free. A NA strawberry lemonade n a small solo type cup was $7. Went down to get something to give it flavor and was given some drink powder, and asked what made it strawberry and they said the daiquiri mix and dumped some of that in for me. They did warn it had booze in it and didnt charge me extra. Staff was nice and friendly this time and came upstairs where they didnt last year. They said there was an emergency with the other caterer and this one was actually "more expensive" . Gave them 3 years in a row to improve and they have not. Next year we will eat somewhere good and take the Lettie G, which can go out on the lake.

We have been on several paddle wheel boats for dinner cruises. This is one was the worst so far. Was there on Sept 6th Italian night. The boat ride was okay. The food not so much, The boat was very dirty. Had spider webs on the lights close to the tables, the windows you couldn't hardly see out of. Not impressed at all. The food, the menu said Chicken Parm. Not any there. Didn't see any meatballs. Lasagna was decent (not great) but okay. There seemed to be 2 young ladies running their behinds off, not sure how many people actually work during on of these cruises. But, they could have used some more people working. Also you pay a gratuity charge on you ticket. At the end of night the young lady's had a tip jar. So, don't know who gets the gratuity from the tickets. But, those two young lady's worked their tail off. Would not recommend the Italian dinner cruise maybe just a sight seeing cruise.
