On a trip between Canton Ohio and Buffalo NY we stopped in Erie PA. Following Lake Erie on most of our trip I wanted to see the lake up close. We got off the main highway and drove into Erie and down to the waterfront. There we found an incredible park and Bicentennial Tower. We were there on a holiday... More

The day we visited this tower, we were quite lucky. It was free entrance! I found out that it was erected for Erie’s bicentennial year in 1996. That is why it is called the Port Erie Bicentennial Tower. There was a lot of information about Erie and this tower. There was quite a lot of parking in front of this... More

The scenes are majestic, and if you're not afraid of heights you should check out the top of the tower. Plenty of views, perfect for tourists!

As visitors, we took a drive downtown and saw this at the end of the street. So interesting! I wasn't sure what it was, but it made for a great picture over the frozen water!

The $4 ride (cash only!) to the top is well worth it. Beautiful views. Just be careful on a windy day! It's even windier up top!

I love climbing the stairs to see the gorgeous views of Lake Erie! There is also an elevator if you dont want to take the stairs. But for my money $4, is a steal for the views you get to experience. Also at the top there are little posts with history snippets so you can read about the area while... More

I made visit to Erie during the Tall Ships Festival. Great view of the Tall Ships and the bay from the top of tower. I took several nice pictures from top of tower. Great view!
