Stopped into winters in December for open house and craft sale on first Friday, great selection of crafts to buy, very busy, lots of shoppers , from fabrics to woodworkers, a real gem.

They are very informative on telling you about the museum. It is small and set up like it would have been in the 1800's. They have a small gift shop. They have limited hours. so check their web sight. They also have special shows.

Excellent docents, access to large amount of local history, documents and genealogical data. Excellent help with genealogical research. Programs are very good.

This very well-preserved downtown complex of two log homes harkens to the founding of Elizabethtown. The structures were built side-by-side in the mid 1700s. You can compare how the Scots-Irish and the Pa Germans built from logs -- very unique peek at two authentic structures!...More

I have enjoyed many visits to the Winter's Heritage House, sampling many of their special events. My group of middle school students loved dressing up in period clothes and trying a German craft. My husband still talks about the brewer meet-and-greet. But my personal favorite...More
