Beautiful theater-great shows.

We have been coming here for years for shows of all kinds and never disappointed. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house and everyone is welcoming. The building is gorgeous, an asset to the community and the state.

first time for a show, surprised
Feb 2020
First time here, saw Humans, the play. The place is very clean, and surprised me walking in. Just beautiful inside. Nice sound, great seating. Had a 2 story set. Really well done.

Nice if seated in orchestra... disgusting health hazzard if seated in real balcony
Feb 2020
Have patronized State Theater multiple times (including 3x in last 6 months: Piano Guys, Art Garfunkel, Ron White) when I secured tickets in lower level, seating was tight but offered an overall nice experience. When we saw Ron White, we could only get seating in rear balcony and it was a terrible experience. I am only 5' 11" and had to sit side-saddle all night with my knees touching the head of a woman in front of me; for which I apologized but the real apopogy should come from the venue. My legs cramped half the night and feet were swollen (never happened before) hours later... the gift that keeps on giving. Also, the sound was set too low... an observation shared by many sitting near me. Anyone sitting in real balcony who is over 5' tall is sure to have a most unpleasant experience after 30 minutes and risk phlebitis after 60 minutes. I would much prefer that this venue remove at least 2 balcony rows and charge an extra $10 to cover lost revenue; better than the misery we endured.

Ron White

Ron White is usually a riot. Last night not so much. The performance was okay but he seemed distracted and a bit flat. Hi usually biting and sharp attitude seemed more like crass that was more rude than funny. His opening act was funny and engaging. We all decided that this might be the last time we go to see him live.

Cute old theater BUT as other reviews stated there is NO leg room. I’m only 5’2 and I was extremely uncomfortable so just imagine how my husband and other tall people felt. Only a child could be comfortable in those seats. We sat in the balcony (see pics of our view). I always prefer balcony seats personally.

Beautiful Show and Concert Venue
Dec 2019
Attended a Holiday Cirque performance. Theater is gotgeous with very good acoustics and sound. Comfortable seating with spacious leg room. Every seat has a food unobstructed view of the stage. The only issue is that currently, the plumbing system must be replaced. There were inadequate restroom facilities to accommodate the patrons and performers the night we were there, which caused a bit of a delay in the start of the performance. Addressing this need is no small undertaking, and the theater is well worth a visit once this issue is resolved.

Beautiful local theater with big shows
Sep 2019
I love the State Theatre in Easton. It is an old and beautiful building with lots of charm and great views from most seats. There is a wide variety of programming including traveling Broadway shows. There is really something for everyone. It pays to be a member because you get to order tickets early (and you help a great local theatre). My only negative is the parking situation. There is limited street parking, so you have to park in the city garage or one of the nearby lots that charges during performances. Drop off and pick up is somewhat difficult.

Super historic theater with great acoustics for concert. Well staffed with volunteers. Seats should use updating do to size but it is historic. when selling beverages to going into theater one might think drink holders on seat would be nice.

Saw a Show at the State
Oct 2019
The State Theater is a Great Venue!!! The Theater is beautifully decorated, it was easy in and out with ample parking in nearby parking garages. There are a few local restaurants for a dinner or snack. There was plenty of help/ushers available to help everyone to their seats and were very attentive to a patronm that had a leg brace and was using a walker.
