Great hands-on fun for the child in all of us!
What an absolute gem of a place! I have driven by the entrance for years, never knowing it was here. There is a little sign on Limekiln Pike. Once you drive in, the fun awaits. My son and i signed up for the one hour Animal Husbandry tour. We loved petting goats, sheep, a small bull, even a big turtle! We also fed baby calves and goats. Baby goats love to nibble on anything! I recommend leaving your handbag in the car and wearing old clothes just in case. What a wonderful hour! The animals are really expensive to feed - hence the admission charge, all for a good cause. (They even had to pay to rescue the 3 baby calves we visited yesterday; and they are feeding the calves round the clock to counteract the difficult circumstances they were rescued from.)

    Happiness every minute!
We scheduled a private husbandry session as a birthday outing (for 3 grown women) and had an absolutely wonderful time. I've taken my kids to many petting zoos, and this is far beyond that experience. We saw the camels, bottle fed and snuggled sweatered baby goats and 2 week old calves, played with grown goats and dug our fingers into thickly woolled sheep to scratch their heads and watch their tails shake with happiness. It was an hour of pure joy and cuteness. Kristen is friendly and educates you in such a personable way that you will be rooting for the whole farm within minutes. I will definitely be back to check out the farm with my kids and the class offerings which include goat yoga and some make and take crafts, and baby goat and kitten byob happy hour. It is an experience like nothing else!

    Highly Recommend!
My mom and I did the hour bottle feeding tour. My Mom who is 80 was smiling and laughing like she was young again! All of the animals are rescued and up for adoption. We spent time with goats, rabbits, camels, horses, cows, baby piglets & cats. Everyone in our group had a chance to bottle feed them. Everyone is so friendly and the farm is beautiful!

My husband and I visited the farm on July 4th. Since my father passed away 2 years ago on this day, I really needed something special to take my mind off of things... and Rose Bridge Farm did not disappoint!

We actually booked 2 sessions that day to take in the full effect of the farm - the 1st being the afternoon feeding of the camels, baby goats, baby cows, and cats/kittens. And the 2nd was the bedtime session. Both were great, but I truly enjoyed the 2nd session, because instead of going around to the different animals again, we were allowed to stay behind with the baby goats, to get in some additional lovebug cuddle time!

I highly recommend this place to anyone, but especially animal lovers! The guides are hospitable and kind and the best thing about this place... all the animals are adoptable!

This place is amazing. Well run, animals are happy, friendly and well cared for. I highly recommend it. However, try to find a time to go when people with little kids aren’t there because most parents don’t teach their kids manners and proper behavior. Your experience will be better if you go when it’s less likely for them to be there. Book a private tour maybe.

Had a fantastic experience feeding baby goats and many other animals today. Booked online and was amazed at the entire experience. This is a full rescue farm and they were so educational about the animals and opportunities to adopt different ones. I was so impressed and we had a wonderful time. Definitely a rescue to support, book activities like feedings and yoga, and consider rescuing an animal from there (rabbits and cats and others)

Overall, I think Rose Bridge is a nice place that cares for their animals. That said, I think that they sometimes misinform guests, and give them a bit too much of a free rein in animal interactions.

In terms of misinforming, I heard one employee tell a guest that chickens naturally lay several hundred eggs per year. In reality, only genetically modified hens lay that many in a year, and true animal sanctuaries typically give their hens "birth control" to prevent their bodies from laying so many more eggs than is natural, which improves their quality and even length of life, and keeps their calcium at a healthy level. A different employee informed a guest that they have to dock their lambs' tails to prevent fly strike. They do this by tying a rubber band around their tails that is so tight that the tail eventually loses circulation and falls off. A true sanctuary would let their lambs keep their tails and prioritize sanitary living conditions to prevent fly strike.

Although being able to hold the animals is awesome, I think that employees should give a bit more instruction as to how to handle the animals, and making sure that no one picks up an animal that is resisting being held, out of respect for the animal.

Many of the animals at the farm are available for sale, but I think that they should make a point of emphasizing that farm animals require a lot of attention, space to move, etc. I didn't attempt to purchase an animal, so I don't fully know what that process looks like, but I think even during the visits they should make it clear that having any animal requires a lot of time and care and that the animal isn't just cute and cuddly toy that you can forget about if you get tired of providing the care.

Again, though, I do think that the people that work there care about the animals, I think the owners could just educate themselves and their employees a bit better, and could do a bit of a better job ensuring that the animals are afforded their highest possible quality of life.

I took my children (ages 12, 9, 6) to Rose Bridge Farm and we all absolutely loved it! The staff are so sweet and knowledgable of all the animals. We were able to visit with goats, piglets, sheep, calves, and kittens. Such a great time and will definitely be back for another visit. Highly recommend!

ALWAYS love my visits to the farm!! We had a wonderful time. Snuggling with baby goats is so uplifting. We mixed it up with a fun candle, bodyscrub and bath salt making class. This was our first class, and we highly recommend it!!

A friend and I visited the farm on Friday, December 2nd. It was my 2nd visit and her first. We got to visit, bottle feed/feed and learn about their goats, sheep, cows, horses, camels and kittens. We met the chickens, rooster, ducks, goose, peacock and dog too. The tour guide (Natalia) was very knowledgeable and kind. Joan helped out also. It was a very fun morning! Next time, a goat hike!!

This was the third time we've been in the last couple of months. Not only is it a great learning opportunity for me and my kids (ages 7 and 14), but there's also something peaceful and calming about it and we always walk away happy and refreshed and wanting to come back again. Thank you Rose Bridge, for bringing this opportunity to our neighborhood! We also brought a few gifts for the animals, to remind my kids again about the magic of the holiday.
