The County is a nonprofit, community-based movie theater that specializes in independent, art, and foreign films. We are also one of the region's premier cinema destinations, offering, in addition to our regular programming, a variety of special events ranging from Saturday Kid's Matinees to classic Hollywood films. You can always count on the County to provide the best independent and small films a home. Great place to catch Oscar nominees at the beginning of Awards season. Clear picture although theater seating is a little old fashioned.

It's not just the movies shown here. It's like going to a theater operated by your family. Even the kids who work here are sweet. It's just a fun place. We always enjoy ourselves.

They have a nice concession stand that is reasonably priced and has a wide selection of both classic and gourmet snacks. The movie ticket prices aren't bad. In the summer time they offer summer movie nights which are much cheaper (especially for students) and show old classics. They are expanding in the upcoming year to have more parking and another... If you enjoy visiting the old days, this is a place for you! The theater reminds me of when I was young and the candy bar appears just the same. The seating isn't as comfortable as new places these days but it's that way for a reason. Check it out!

I tried it with my family and we really enjoyed the vintage style however, we were very disappointed with the movie selection.

Love this theater especially on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening when attendance is lighter in the small theater rooms. Movie selections always interesting and varied. Great concessions.

Great place to see independent and foreign films. Small but clean and attractive, with very friendly staff, this is the place (along with its sister theater the Ambler Theater) to see quality films.

The show very old movies that are not mainstays. The do carry some very good foreign movies. It is a nice small and quaint theater in the middle of the town of Doylestown.

The County is always a theatre worth visiting. They tend to play movies that are not absolutely mainstream. Almost always good. A higher than average class audience. No riff-raff. Nice refreshments and always clean. Screen and sound are very good. Right in the heart of Doylestown, so parking might be a problem. A great place for a movie and dinner.... More
