Did a long run on the trail while we were visiting friends in the area. What a nice local resource. As it goes along the river, you won't have any issues with hills and it connects on both ends to other parks and trail systems. Some cool historical sites along the way as well. I was there in March, but I imagine the shade is nice in the summer to beat the heat. On a Saturday morning it was pretty busy.

What a great trail! Plenty of shade and most of the trail runs right along the creek so it felt much cooler than the 90 degree day. The Uwchlan Trail is a 3 mile trail that shoots off the Struble trail at Dowling Forge Road. It has some small inclines but only enough to make it interesting and you're surrounded by lots of nature to put your mind at rest.

Pleasant, enjoyable scenery. Well maintained trail, very polite people and stress free walking. Also, good for jogging and slow bike riding.

Struble trail is a great trail to ride your bike on, or do a run or walk. It is in the heart of the borough, and there is plenty of parking. It is a very flat trail, and user friendly. I believe the total distance from start to end and back is just over 5 miles.

Moved to this area in mid-May and the first thing that struck me is the incredible amount of trails. Not just the volume, but the way they maintain them. Struble is a fairly easy trail system for all abilities with some great views and terrific scenery in the woods, by the water or on the fields. Awesome.

The Trail is patrolled by park police in patrol cars and by mounted police.
The mounts were the tallest and biggest mounts I have ever see.
My guess is the mounts shoulder was just slightly under seven feet, and the mounted park policeman sat about another three plus feet above the back of the mount.
I remember thinking there must some sort of "boarding ramp" to get the Park Police mounted.

This a local trail for me. But it is well worth a drive to get there. It is mostly a level, blacktop, well maintained and used by strollers, serious walkers, runners and bicyclists. It is generously wide, with a number of benches for those needing an occasional break. It also offers plenty shade and beautiful scenery as it follows closely along the banks of the
Brandywine. Parking at both ends as well as other points along the way.

Took my dog here for the first time. Lots of activity here for sure. We met 3 dogs along our walk and he decided to check out the water as well. Good short trail.

Nice scenic walkway along the East Branc of the Brandywine Creek, Very peaceful and quiet with lots of vegetation to look at in spring, summer and fall, and lovely views in the winter.

All Bikers, Joggers, walkers, and even hikers appreciate a trail that's scenic, yet flat without any tough hills and twisty curves. This former railroad bed has plenty of history along it's sides as you pass by old mills, and enjoy the scenes along side the East Branch Brandywine Creek.

Where do you park?

There's a small parking lot at the Dorlan Mill end of the trail. There are also lots along the trail - one on Shelmire, I believe. Or you can park at Kerr park, walk through the ponds and access the Norwood Rd end of the trail.....
