I had gone here on a school trip back in the 80s, but this time I went to go on a hike. We did the tumbling waters trail. It was very well marked, and easy to navigate. The reward is getting to the falls halfway through. After going down to the falls, it was well worth the trek. Not crowded... More

I loved PEEC ever since I went to summer camp there as a kiddo. I later became a counselor. Now as an adult out of town I rarely frequent... A shame because it really is a local gem! They have great activities for all ages here and this is the place to go for education on all outdoor matters!!! There... More

There are many trails of various degrees of difficulty but nothing difficult. We routinely do the Tumbling Waters trail and also the Fossil trail. It's a great stop if you are passing through the DWGNRA.

Visited here with extended family of over 20 of us. People from 12 to 83 years hiking. Lots of trails to hike/walk and all could do it. Beautiful scenery. Stop into the Visitor Center as it is much more expansive than looks outside. Very informational. Free coffee and water. Two ponds to fish if you bring your gear and have... More

Hike here in the summer months with my young children. Enjoy the trails and peacefulness. My children also have summer camp here and they love it.

I have hiked at PEEC many times and each occasion immensely enjoy the trails. I typically do all three trails - Tumbling Waters, Ridgeline and Fossil loops - just under 9 miles. The terrain and woods are simply lovely. Tumbling Waters was very full this past weekend and so beautiful. There are some great views and one 'rope tow' on... More

We just visited this environmental education center and had a great time. We went fossil hunting and actual found them. We enjoyed the hike along the well marked trails. We spent a couple of days in the Poconos and found this to be a refreshing way to enjoy the area. There is an educational center with periodic programs on the... More

This was my second time attending a workshop at PEEC. The cabins are comfortable, large with lots of bunk beds. The mattresses were not so comfortable, some people doubled up or brought air mattresses. The food is ok, not the best and not the worst. It is at a great location for exploring some beautiful places nearby.

This fairly large compex has a variety of things to offer. A number of short trails start here, there are classes, guided walks, exhibits on wildlife. It is free and has some lovely views, especially a lake across the road what has spectacular color in the fall.
