Excellent outdoor activities: camping, bonfire, zip lining, and water rafting. Some activities do have time frames in which they will end so plan prior to arrival.

Took a paddle board trip out of Shawnee Inn through Mauka Nalu paddle boarding. Paddled from Smithfield beach back to Shawnee Inn. My first time and all alone on the river. It was a beautiful, fulfilling excursion. A must try

We really enjoyed Delaware Water Gap/Poconos KOA. Promised Land State Park is also fairly close to the northern end of the area.

Yes, a nice park with lots of picnic tables and grassy areas is about 6 miles down the scenic river road.
