Have stopped here a few times in the past. Excellent variety of wines all of which are superb. Building has gone through extensive renovation consistent with a growing business. We stopped on a Saturday afternoon to taste and purchase and the building was at capacity. The staff greeted us with “do you have a reservation”, not “good afternoon”, not “hello”. I told her no, as wasn’t aware that reservations were required (the web page mentions nothing about reservations). After an awkward 5 minutes during which I couldn’t tell if they were checking on a wait time or just ignoring us, I asked if I could just purchase wine. After the purchase we left, but obviously not happy as we’d driven an hour to get there. Recommend to the owners that they update their website indicating that reservations are recommended on weekends, recommend customers call ahead before making the drive in. I love it when a business is successful as is the case here, but please remember why you became successful and treat people respectfully. We will be back…

A pleasant , friendly, and welcoming setting with a great staff. Prices are fair and the wine is outstanding. Definitely worth your time. Take advantage of 1/2 and full case discounts on terrific wine.

Stopped in on a Sunday for a tasting. Pleasant atmosphere with fireplace and comfortable seating. Picked out 4 wines each for our large flight and enjoyed them all. They do sell cheeses, salami and crackers as well. Great, friendly seasoned service staff! Will return when warmer to enjoy the outside area.

After wandering around Mount Nittany and environs with only the GPS having a notion of where we were, I recalled reading about a winery at the end of a long gravel road......hmmm.....well, yes! There it was! "Mount Nittany Vineyard and Winery." After a couple tastings, provided gratis by the 2 very knowledgeable women working (1 of whom was the daughter of the PSU professor emeritas who began the vineyard), we purchased (no pressure at all to buy) a case (!) of mixed reds and whites...blended reds, some very interesting whites which I am presently enjoying, and a pair of very attractive glasses! A great stop and a most enjoyable time spent!

My wife and I have added yet another vineyard to our extensive list, and this was a good one. The wines are varied and I suspect there's something here to please everyone--the Nittany Mountain White blend was our favorite. The extras come in the form of decor and presentation. The building and grounds are beautiful, and they have lots of outdoor seating for the mellower months. The presentation of your tasting flights is rops--the wine is served in genuine wine glasses and not plastic cups, and they come to table in attractive racks arranged highest to lowest so that you know what you're tasting.

I suspect this vineyard will get a return visit from us.

We stopped on our way home from Altoona. Very friendly and informative staff. Free tastings of 5 wines. We like semi sweet and sweet. The hostess suggested we try some of their dryer wines and we liked them. We liked all we tried and left with 7 bottles of various wines. Nice setting for a picnic and one of their wines. It's a must do vineyard and tasting.

Off the beaten path is this quiet little winery that is family owned and sits at the mountains edge next to a pond. We had a wine tasting before choosing a bottle to enjoy on the covered patio overlooking the pond. Very relaxing, quiet spot. We enjoyed the wine and some snacks from their gift shop. Worth visiting.

My friends and I had a great afternoon relaxing at this winery. The scenery is amazing and the building had a nice rustic look. Wedid the wine tasting and their wines are excellent: a great selection, nice and sweet, and full of flavor. We bought a bottle and sat on their back patio eating sandwiches that we brought with us, enjoying the view of the lake and vineyard. We'll definitely return next time we are in State College visiting our Alma mater!

Boy we lucked out when we found this gem. Lovely staff and beautiful scenery. Wine is good and staff knowledgeable. Not to far off the beaten path and close to State college.

We recently held a retreat for our Board in State College. We took them to Mt. Nittany Winery for a tour of the vineyard and winery, as well as for some wine tasting. The staff at the winery was more than accommodating to our group of 30 people. From the minute we arrived everything was well planned. After the wine tasting, many of our Board members purchased and opened a bottle of wine to enjoy on the deck overlooking the pond and beautiful mountain landscape. The entire Board was thrilled with the event. Highly recommend for similar functions.
