You don' have to be a history buff to have an entertaining and educational experience at this wonderful facility. If the word museum makes you shy away don't be dissuaded. Take the guided tour with the creator and curator, Bob Messner. Bob will immerse you...More

I went along with a bunch of friends. Myself, I'm not much of a museum person. But this little place was really interesting, in part because of the passion of the founder and docent, Bob Messner. Bob knows all the history of the Battle of...More

Don't miss this museum. A well done walk through history. A very good focus on the Mon Valley. Videos, artifacts, paintings really draw you in to the time period. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

Easy access, small enough to see entire museum. Great artifacts and paintings. An important place to visit and see history in its making. Worth the trip.

This is a much-needed museum on a very significant, but little known battle where George Washington earned his stripes, turning around a disastrous early military career. Meet and thank Robert Messner for his great work in this depressed mill town. Daniel Boone turned tail when...More

This excellent and well-run museum tells the story of a pivotal battle that took place during the French and Indian Wars in 1755. Located in Braddock on the eastern outskirts of Pittsburgh, it covers the surprising defeat of a large British colonial force commanded by...More
