Loved the experience of shopping at this destination type store while we were camping nearby. The selection of products was amazing and the prices were very good, especially on meats, cheese, deli and produce. They have some unique local products as well as everyday staples. This is the type of store worth traveling out of your way to visit. Next time we will bring a larger cooler to pack more for our ride home.

We were traveling and certainly didn’t need fresh produce or meats, but the place is just pure entertainment. It’s huge with so many tempting food products ... most of them local. We ended up buying all kinds of Amish Offerings … preserves, salsas, pickles, seasonings, stone-ground cornmeal, and even homemade noodles.

We were staying in Churchtown in a self catering cottage.
The Shady Maple was recommended for our needs.
Contrary to other reviews the are sanitizing station at the entrance and social distancing sign and masks are required for entrance.
We enjoyed the incredible variety of ready to eat items and the regular shopping items.
It was a nice shopping experience.

I’m sorry to report Shady Maple is not enforcing a ‘must wear a mask’ policy. Apparently they do not care about their customers. I strongly recommend not visiting their stores. I used to be a loyal customer. I have switched markets to Giant who does require a mask. Wearing a mask protects all of us as statistics in Florida, Texas, and California have already proven.

While often crowded, this is a great place to stop for pretty much anything you will need. They have items that aren't found in typical grocery stores as well. The prices are okay, but it is convenient. I don't particularly like that the produce cannot be brought to the register with the rest of your groceries, weighed, and be paid for, but overall this store is great.

This is a wonderful "one stop shop" to get anything you want. We stopped in to buy produce. Peaches were amazing. Huge and ripe. The meats looked very nice as well. Plenty of homemade goods to buy. This would be a perfect stop for anyone renting a house for a period of time. If we did an Air BnB, this would be our first stop.

Many don’t wear mask. No signs on floors by registers for social distance, no hand sanitizers anywhere. We were very disappointed. Hard to find items too. That’s why where I live covid rates are lower.

The produce section alone is bigger than one of our local grocery stores! The store has some interesting local foods, as well as healthy food options. The prices are great. We only had time for a quick visit but could have easily spent st least an hour here.

I am not sure why so many people give this 5 stars. I mean it is okay, but not that special. I was looking forward to it with all the reviews and passing it for so many years. It is a decent size and clean. Some prices were good and some were high. They advertise how they have all these different flavors and types of donuts and to me the variety was not even 20% of what they claim. I also was hoping for some bread with fruit, but it also was very limited. I may give it another try next time in the area just to see if it was a bad day, but if it is the same I would not bother again after that.

Lots of fresh variety of veggies and fruit; great selection of their own foods; prices are overly reasonalble. Awesome place for "home made" bake goods including breads and pies, as well as salads and other side dishes ~ large area containing bulk items of all kinds. Highly recommend visiting this store. Definitely we will be returning soon and often.

where is Lena's plant nursery from Shady Maple?

I'm not sure about that nursery; however, I love the plants that are sold during the spring-summer seasons at the Shady Maple parking lot (between the Smorgasbord place and the Market). I always go there for my herb garden and patio plants. They are hardy and rather inexpensive compared to our Bucks County nurseries.
