We chose Abe's because the tour is private. We decided on the 45 minute tour, which was rather expensive ($30 pp), but gave us more time on the back roads. We did ask about the coupon and got $2.00 off each ticket. Our driver was Sam King, an older gentleman who was witty and engaging. When he talked, I'd say... More

We had a wonderful time on a private buggy ride to an Amish farm house where we saw a working farm and then a school house

Fun buggy ride through the country side with a very good guide. Was a rainy day for us but the buggy was enclosed driver was pleasant easy to talk to about area, customs, horse and harness and local homes and historic places. Petting zoo on property (who doesn't have one of these) there are different options for the ride, price... More

Abe's buggy rides was one of the highlights of our trip to York, PA. My husband and I had our own buggy (Abe's does that) and Lillian, our guide, and Jules, the horse, made it even more special. Lillian was very anxious to answer any of our questions about the area, the Amish people in general, and happy to accommodate... More

We enjoyed our ride. The guide was very kind as well as the other staff we met. They have a playground for the kids and barnyard animals for them to see. A lot of fun!

My friend and I decided on a whim to take a buggy ride. Paul was our driver and very informative. He explained the difference between Mennonite (which he is) and Amish. He was very open and honest answering all our questions. I had a ball at the petting zoo and little Grace - the blond haired blue eyed girl in... More

Had to wait 45 mins for our 1hr. Tour. It was great, as they took my number and called me when our driver was due to arrive (we went down the street and looked at some local shops). Our driver was Sam King, a 79 year old Amish man, He was very sweet. We took a lengthy tour of back... More

It's been a long time since I've traveled to Lancaster and this time I wanted to take my kids to a buggy ride. There are many places to go and had been reading comments from other visitors. Turns out that Abe's Buggy Rides had the best comments and I felt better choosing their business. The experience did not disappoint. The... More

We visited Abe's Buggy Rides mid-morning and beat the crowds. We purchased the longest tour ($60/person) which is about 75 minutes. Every buggy ride is private, so it was just the two of us and our driver, a local Mennonite who spoke Pennsylvania Dutch. The ride itself was beautiful. You will see some of the prettiest parts of Lancaster County... More

all horse and buggy rides are private- your family only! my kids got to sit in front next to the driver- nice guy. i would have liked to hear more of a narrative about the amish lifestyle but he answered our questions and was very nice and friendly to the kids!!
