We stopped here before beginning our four day stay in Bedford over THanksgiving. It was very helpful and we got a lot of great information including maps for the two state parks nearby.

The visitor bureau gives you a great background of Bedford during the Revolutionary War and information on William Penn. The fort was the only one captured from the British and the Bedford courthouse shows the architecture from the times

You should be able to traverse most of Bedford without much trouble. You may want to wait until Spring when Bedford wakes up again and check the web site for activities.
