Be ready for flying rocks
Apr 2021 • Family
I was hit on the head by a rock during a modified heat race. I was with my son and he was pretty freaked out by the blood. I talked to someone at the track and they said that is the risk you take. Which I get, but how about a little customer service... maybe a free t-shirt or passes to come back another time... something other than, "tough luck, read the sign"

Thanks Grandview speedway for a short night. Take better care of your track so there aren't rocks shooting halfway up the grandstands and hitting people in the head.

Generally the racing is pretty good and they are pretty efficient with the flow of the program, but this night they couldn't stop crashing.

I think it will be a while before I return.

Come out for in your face, fun grass roots racing. You are up close for a night of fun racing. Bring glasses or googles as it is a dirt track and you will get dirty. Great time and great races. Can't pass up venue if you like car racing.

Fun Night
Jun 2017 • Couples
Never been to a dirt track race before, so my boyfriend decided I need to go the last time he was home on leave. Having been to one other race, I knew it'd be loud, so I brought earplugs. Good thing too, or I would have been a bit hard of hearing by the end of the night. There was a little stand that sold the headphones though, and the price wasn't bad either, so if you do this kind of thing often, I'd recommend picking those up at the track.

Was warned that I'd get a little dirty, so I made sure to dress for the occasion and brought my sunglasses. Again, both highly recommended, although You'd probably do better with safety goggles by the end of the night because it obviously gets a bit dark. Bring a sweatshirt or long sleeves or the like because it gets a bit cool about half way through.

Definitely had a great time though and would totally go again. Wish I'd known it was a BYO before hand, but you live and learn, right? The pizza at the track was good, but you can also bring your own food and what not as long as nothing's in a glass container. Just make sure you cover it or eat behind the stands otherwise you'll eat as much food as dirt.

Would definitely recommend . It was a lot of fun and the people were great, both those that worked there and those who came to watch the races.

A nice fun venue, it was a well kept speedway, lots of parking, and seating, and decent concession area.

Been going to THE HILL since I've been a kid.

My wife's dad (John Ruth) raced at Grandview, My dad spent 1 season in a Latemodel at Grandview (Late 70s) before switching to a street stock at Nazareth, and I've been racing over 25 years (2017 will be my 5th year at Grandview competing in the Outlaw Enduro Series). Small track, Great Racing, Couple of mid-week races featuring different types of racing. Grandstand fee is ok but some of the food is a bit pricey, just my opinion.....But the food is good. The 76er is still one of the best small block modified races in the North East.

Still a blast!
Aug 2016 • Family
Haven't been here in over 20 years, and it's is still the great, inexpensive family fun I remembered. I am going to have to make it back here with the kids more often! I have a 12 year old daughter and a son and daughter who are twins and 8, all 3 said it was the most fun thing we did all summer!
We sat in the family section with no alcohol, but it was very family friendly throughout the venue, no one was rude or obnoxious. Bring your own coolers, and whatever, but concession stands were nice, and cheap as well. Overall a great experience, couldn't ask for a better Saturday night with the family.
Wear glasses, ear plugs, and be prepared to get dirty, lots of flying dirt there, but it was worth it!

Great racing.
Some of the best racing I have seen in long time. All three divisions put on at great show from heat races all the way through to the features. Awesome way to spend a Saturday night.

Fun little racetrack
Jul 2014 • Friends
Step back into the days of yesteryear with local and national drivers alike racing on a dirt track. Everything from sprinters, late models, and modified race cars -- a fun way to spend a Saturday night. Be prepared to get dirt/mud on you (hey, it's a DIRT track) and bring ear plugs as the racing fun is fast and loud!
