This is a great place to spend a few hours with any age family member. Jason and Kelly are super helpful and will guide you on how to make your piece look its best. They are even great at getting squirmy babies and toddlers to cooperate to make a hand or footprint pottery piece. I went there with my 2 sons, who are 4 and 2, to do some Christmas ornaments. They helped me make a handprint ornament with both of my boys handprints for my mom. I liked it so much that we went again for the Christmas event that they had with Santa a few weeks later. My boys enjoyed getting to paint a pickup truck (my 4 year old had his mind set on the truck the moment he saw it) and a little snowman ornament (my 2 year old was more agreeable with sticking with the Christmas theme).
I felt like they were reasonable with the flat studio price of $7.50 a painter. I have been to other paint your own studios that charges you by the hour, which makes me feel like I need to rush, and I didn't feel that with having a flat charge. Also, they have a really wide range of different pieces to paint. They had pieces that appealed to my boys, as well as myself. They had figurines, plates, mugs, and coin banks. The pieces weren't very expensive, plus the paint is non toxic and can are dishwasher safe.
We enjoyed ourselves and will be going back.

We have been to this pottery place 3 times niw,. Our most recent trip was about two weeks ago.
At time of visit the studio is open 3 days a week- Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday. Masks are required and you can paint your piece in the studio or take it home and bring it back to be baked/fired.
Process:
1)
You pick out the piece (you do not make the pottery- only decorate /paint it) that you want to paint.... all pieces are marked with price. (a few years back there was an added charge for fire/bake piece but now that's included in cost).
2) pick table - set your piece down- (currently some tables are marked not for use to insure social distancing)
Staff give you form to fill out your information and they fill in the item(s) you will paint
3) you pick out your paints (no limit to number of colors that I know of) pallet had space for 8 colors but you can refill or get others as needed. Return to table- paint- have fun
4) pay at register and leave painted piece with staff to be baked/fired. You can pick up finished work in a week or pay for shipping and get it delivered home (we have done both options. When we had our pieces shipped they arrived realtively quickly and we're very well packaged with lots of peanuts to insure no breaks/damage)
The studio also had option to get plate with child/person hand or footprint and a picture. There were some templates or for extra fee cod get a custom drawing. We did this when our daughter was 2 years old.
I have also seen studio booked for birthdays/kids party.
Highly recommend this place as a family activity with a young child or anyone that enjoys crafts/art.

We took our 2 grandchildren there for a craft day. It was very expensive at $40+ for a couple of very small plaster statuettes. The staff member assigned to our grandchildren was quite impatient. Her tone and hostile demonstrative nature towards 2 very well behaved children, aged 4 and 7, Ruined the experience. My wife mentioned this to the shop manager but not even an apology was offered. Discuss pricing before going. There are better options around, especially for that level of service.

My daughter went to a birthday there. After the party she wanted to have painting lessons. I looked for some one to help me with the information and I saw the same guy that was at the party. I went up to him to ask , the packages they have. I wanted to bring my daughter twice a week, He looked at me, made a nasty face, turned and went back inside. I thought to myself I should speak to the owner, what a nasty employee. I said to my daughter:" Forget it, I will get you a nice place to do the paintings". To my surprise looking at the Menus Magazine I saw him and his family and he is the CO-OWNER! I couldn't believe it. I don't know who the owner is but there is a reason the place is not making money! Jason is a not a nice guy!

We just received our amazing little momentos from our 1st anniversary getaway to the Poconos. You see I'm very pregnant currently 37 weeks and we are not allowed to travel far so I decided to surprise my husband with a 3 day getaway to the Poconos. We love doing fun activities, but are limited due to my pregnancy. We decided to try Poke-a-nose pottery and we had such an amazing time. It was so much fun picking out pottery to paint. We were able to pick out any color, texture, and even stencils if we needed. The one-on-one attention from the owner and her family made it an extra special experience. We truly enjoyed getting to know them and having the expert advice on making our creations extra special. The icing on the cake was receiving our masterpieces at home! What a special gift to receive. We made a moon piggy bank for our son-to-be's room that is going to have a twinkle little star theme. The added personalization from the owner, of adding his name, a special message and signing the bottom from mommy and daddy with the date is so awesome. We weren't expecting that surprise touch. We also made a special coffee cup for grandma who we can't live without. Thank you poke-a-nose pottery for making our 1st wedding anniversary extra special. 💗💗😊☺️

Went here last year on vacation with my mother. It was a nice way to spend an afternoon and do some crafts. We made mosaic pieces, and overall enjoyed ourselves. It is a nice place to go with or without someone!
