These Japanese Gardens are the real deal...
Apr 2021
This is definitely one of my favorite wine tasting venues in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. The grounds and facility are one of a kind, the staff is warm and very knowledgeable, and the flight experience is so good. You owe it to yourself when you're looking for something unique in the the Willamette Valley to go there.

YAMHILL GEM in a sea of options !
Sep 2020
We had such a wonderful experience yesterday at Saffron. I rarely enjoy all of the wines in a flight while tasting at a vineyard. This is actually the first since moving to Oregon and loving California wines most of my adult life. All FOUR options were exceptional ! The charcuterie plate was also wonderful with a lovely presentation. I wish I had pictures, but I was too enthralled with the experience to take any. Molly "made" the visit what it was for sure. She is a pleasant young lady that shared the history behind the vineyard and winemaker, the benefits of becoming a member, the wines and a little bit about herself that made it a very personable interaction. You can thank her for your new members in the Becker Family. We can't wait to return on pick up day ! Well done on your wines, well done indeed ...

Stunning winery
Oct 2019
This winery is a gorgeous setting with their art and gardens and modern architecture. You will be greeted with a delightful view. Once you taste their wines, you will also have a great time as you learn more about what they produce. We stopped here as part of a 3 day visit to the Willamette Valley with a group of friends, and although it wasn't our favorite, we all agreed it was worth the visit.

Small But Very Upscale Vineyard with Award Winning Japanese Gardens and Great Wines!!!
Sep 2019
After visiting two larger, well know vineyards nearby, we asked our driver to bring us to two smaller vineyards that embold the taste of local Oregon Pinot Noirs. The winemaker here is Tony Rynders who is very well respected in the area. The owners, lovers of art and Japanese Gardens have turned this small vineyard into a showplace with outstanding wines. We tried a tasting of all their Pinot Noirs which were very good to outstanding and purchased a fair amount when we left. From the road below, you would not expect that this vineyard is definitely a must go to for local Pinot Noirs. Stop in. You will not be disappointed.

Response to “Definately Not Worth Your Time”
May 2019 • Couples
We have been to Saffron Fields numerous times and have always had outstanding experiences there. Winemaker, Tony Rynders, is an experienced and well respected winemaker which is evidenced in his delicious wines. Additionally, the knowledgeable staff have always been friendly.
If you want a small local Oregon experience go to Saffron Fields. You can have a large slick corporate California experience at WillaKenzie whose wines are also good.

Great architecture

Stopped by on the recommendation of a fellow traveler. The wine flight was enjoyable, staff was very friendly. Flight is $25 (others in the area were 20). Really beautiful building and outdoor space for wondering around.

Definitely not one worth your time

Decent wine, but awful staff. WillaKenzie is just up the road and has amazing wine with gracious hosts. In reflection, not a surprise there were so few cars in the parking lot.

We had a great visit in May. Noah was helpful and friendly, and we really enjoyed the Chardonnay and rosé (not just for Pinot lovers!). Definitely worth a stop.

This vineyard really popped out to our whole group. The modern feel, the art and the patio are just a bonus to the wine. It was a great stop. We brought sandwiches from a bakery and ate on their patio by the coy pond. The landscaping is pretty special too. Recommend adding this to your vineyard stops.
