Walking along the 804 trail that parallels the Yachats' coastline is one of my favorite coastal walks in any season and at any time of the day. You will feel like you are one with the Pacific Ocean as you watch the spray of the...More

If you're looking for a unique, small town, charming little get-away RIGHT on the ocean, look no further than Yachats Oregon. It is right on Highway 101 but this is not a deterrent to the charm of the place. The town is small, with a...More

With the 6 mile sandy beach, tide pools, rock formations and foliage.....this area is really a spectacular paradise.

There are many places to begin your walk on the 804. Smelt Sands is a nice wayside on the north end of town just past the Adobe and from there you can walk to Waldport if you choose.

The Yachats coastline is breathtakingly beautiful. The only other place that comes close is Cannon Beach. Wild, windy, rocky and with a unique forest that goes right down to the beach - don't miss the walk / hike along the edge of the beach from...More

The view from the shore out to the ocean is gorgeous and changing along with the tide. It's a great place to visit the tide pools at low tide! Especially when you have seen it at high tide, as you can appreciate the differences and...More

We stayed at the Ziggurat that was beautiful and right on the water about 5 miles from town. You can go to AirBNB and search for "Yachats Ziggurat" to check on availability.
