Lovely area along the coast and a great little town as well. Pull of the 101 and go along the loop which is in town. Great place to park and watch for whales in the distance.

Note your view will often be obstructed by the houses that front on the ocean However, in Oregon all waterfronts are public. So find a spot where you can walk to the water and enjoy

Drove this coastline from Yachats to gold beach. It is lovely. Take your time and pull over to get as close as possible. We saw whales, sea lions and beautiful scenery.

Located just across the highway from thenPark visitors center. Parking is adequate. Walk down the trail or view from the parking area. Thor's Well spews forceful waters thru a whole deep beneath the rocks creating an event that will have you wanting to get closer,...More

Yachats is in my opinion one of the nicest same towns on the Oregon coast. It's not crowded like most coastal communities with a nice mix of tourist amenities and local flavor. This town has class!!

Yachats's costline is one of those, that because a great deal has houses etc infront, & what seems to be few public outlets, gets missed. It is by far one of the coolest beaches to just walk up or down from one of the parks...More

When driving the Oregon coast, always go from the North end to the South. That way you can easily stop at the many pullouts and view points. Along this region, plan on driving slowly, and enjoying the view.

This area epitomises the rugged beauty of the Central Oregon coast. The picturesque views are available from numerous vantage points from Yachats to Cape Perpetua and south to the Heceta Head.

We stayed at the Ziggurat that was beautiful and right on the water about 5 miles from town. You can go to AirBNB and search for "Yachats Ziggurat" to check on availability.
