The village of Sandy Ground is an interesting place to visit or stay. The bay is home to many smaller boats as well as the major port on the island, so the beach isn't as pristine as most on the island, but still better than...More

Nice beach, it is a local beach, you can catch a small ferry to go to Sandy Island. It has nice places to eat and rent snorkel gears.

This beach has several nice restaurants and bars on it. Roy's, Dolce Vita, and Sand Bar are all restaurants we enjoy. Johnno's, Dad's, Elvis's, and Pump House are enjoyable bars who also have good food. You can sit on this beach here but there are...More

This is where all of the racing sail boats end there day. Not the current crop of racing boats but very traditional. Beautiful place!

We were at Sandy Ground for diving through "Shoal Bay Scuba" - actually located at Roy's Place Sandy Ground. The beach is unbeatable, we had a few great meals here, and got to watch the beginning of a regatta. Like Paradise

The beach has a more a casual feelings than the beaches on the West End. I generally suggest spending most of the time on the beaches on the West side of the island but come here when you are looking for more of a crowd.

Sandy Ground beach isn't all that pretty, but the overall view with the boats, especially at sunset, is really nice. There are a few boutiques, restaurants and bars in the area. And Pumphouse is the place for nightlife!
