This little day use park just south of Waldport is popular with locals as it offers easy access to the beach. My husband and I often recognize the cars parked here - sometimes folks are eating lunch enjoying the nice view. You can see the ocean waves from the parking lot, so it's a great place to come when it's raining!

There is adequate paved parking, but no separate spaces for RV's that are towing, but there is room for larger rigs to park on the perimeter.

To get to the beach, walk down a paved footpath. It's not real steep and is only about 50 yards to the the level sand. There are a couple of tiny sand dunes between the parking area and the beach, but by staying on the paved path you don't have to slog in the loose sand!

There are restrooms and a few picnic tables with a great ocean view.

Sand dunes, scrub pines and small incline to the beach which in other places is quite steep. Spacious with lots of parking spots.

This is one of our favorite beach spots. On cold, rainy or windy days you can sit in your car to enjoy the view from the parking lot. Otherwise you can walk down the path to a beach that stretches uninterrupted for miles. The Picnic area offers a beautiful beachfront setting without the hassle of the sand. Clean restrooms are an added convenience.
The location provides easy access to/from Hwy 101.

We were exploring for places to get to the beach with services and a good view. And we definitely found it at this wayside. It was raining when we first got there, so we just sat in the car and had a great view. Then it stopped and we took a short, easy walk down to a wonderful beach! There is a stream, logs to sit on, and an easy walk down to the water.

We are so excited to have another easily accessible and spectacular beach to stop at. Good for picnics, and the facilities were clean and convenient. We'll be back!

Beautiful beach, long and clean! Also has clean bathrooms and a big parking area. We got married on this beach 6 years ago and we return several times a year. It just keeps getting better and better! Now there is a lovely viewing platform that is wheelchair accessible with rails overlooking the beach. Great addition!

We enjoy stopping at this convenient beach site just south of Waldport. Plan on walking north when the tide is lower and then turn east to see the splendid Alsea River meeting the Pacific. Often we see seals, bald eagles and abundant sand dollars. The view of the bridge is spectacular as well, as are the bed and breakfast (Cliff House) just above our heads, the breathtaking place we were married. Life is sublime here and time seems to stand still. May all of us, visitors and locals, do our best to keep the area unpolluted, environmentally safe, and awesomely healthy.
