Purchased a Wine Tasting & Tour package at Willamette Valley Vineyards, Turner, at a Sport's Auction. Sydney, our host was charming, people friendly and knowledgeable. My party of eight had such a good experience. Thank You Sydney!/Users/janiceprimus-wickett/Desktop/IMG_3585.jpg

I get better food prep at diners, cafes, and coffee shops. I have food allergies. I tell the server up front what they are and ask if the kitchen can prepare a meal for me. The server answered yes, then went to the kitchen to see if they could prepare my request. The poor server came back saying they couldn't accommodate the salad, but they could accommodate a burger. I told them I don't eat beef. The server went back to the kitchen and came back with "they could prepare shrimp." I had asked for a plain lettuce salad with PLAIN chicken on it. I carry my own dressing. The lettuce came out with a dressing on it and the chicken with a sauce. I sent it back. The next time the lettuce came with lemon juice on it and the chicken with a different sauce. Again, I sent it back. What don't they understand about "NO SAUCE?!" I again sent it back and ate a protein bar while the other guest had an interesting, yet over priced meal!!! The wines are overpriced for the quality as well.

I brought my family who were visiting from out of state, and I was embarrassed to have put them in a situation to spend these prices for such horrendous and rude service. They told us to seat ourselves, and it was difficult to find a clean table, so we had to go back inside to ask someone to clear a place for us. Then we had to go back inside again to track someone down so we could order appetizers. We all ordered a tasting flight at $20 per person (6 people), had to go inside to get each individual tasting for which the servers at the bar acted like they were annoyed to serve anyone. They did not rinse our glasses or give new glasses for each tasting -- that should be standard 101 for a winery, especially for a winery with this reputation for being above par. Nothing about my experience made me want to join a membership, return again, or recommend to a friend. So sad, because I remember when they used to be a nice place to go.

The campus of Willamette Valley is stunning. Take the time to book a table and learn about the wines and enjoy the food. Then walk around and see the stunning views! Wine was excellent - and we were able to try many varieties for a reasonable price.

My husband, my recently widowed sister and I visited the winery for a late afternoon tasting and dinner. We were very pleasantly surprised by the most knowledgeable guide, Ginny, who attended to us at just the right amount of time with each of the 5 tastings. She has been around there since the beginning, so the history of the wines as well as the pairings were excellent.
In addition, I, a recipe tester for America's Test Kitchen, and an amateur chef, was impressed with each of the dishes we shared. They all were artfully presented and provocatively tasty. Thanks to the chef and to Ginny on August 5.

Ok let me start off by saying this review is about the dinner experience we had. The wine is phenomenal and if you are going to just sample wines this will be lovely. However do not go for the food. The steelhead was fishy and our steak overdone. I also ordered french onion soup. It was basically bbq soup. Seriously I wish I were joking. I am at a loss of words. Again the wine is wonderful and you should experience it just not at the restaurant.

Absolutely spectacular! An amazing experience. Since we stayed in their on-site suite, we enjoyed several days and evenings at the property. The restaurant serves outstanding food, the wines are great and the staff is first class. The Blending Experience is a must for any wine enthusiast. Plus unforgettable views. Thanks to Veronica for the truly special Blending Experience and Sandy, Jessica and Leslie in the tasting room and a special Thank You to Sara and Carol for the wonderful hospitality. Can't wait to return.

Visited while in town for a wedding. Wonderful wine, food and views. We spent several hours talking, drinking and taking in the scenery. What a relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Would definitely return.

My husband and I were driving south on I5 and wanted to find a Winery not far from the freeway to try a good Oregon Pinot Noir. We asked alot of people with little help. So we landed at Willamette Valley Winery. What an operation. First the Winery is high on a hill and has a beautiful Valley view. Two, they offer a full restaurant had we known we would have had lunch there. Three the tasting rooms are many various levels where you can be served. This is a place to linger all afternoon as there are so many wines available to try. And there are fireplaces, a bar and tables to sit at to try many selections. It's too large of a tasting room compared to Napa size tasting rooms. I have to say we were sad not to find that Pinot Noir that would knock our socks off but it was a very lovely experience. My husband is a level 2 Sommelier so we are definitely a little harder to please than most and I would recommend for anyone looking for a fun experience.
