Dave was an awesome, patient teacher. He made us an important part of the process for sure, and taught us a lot along the way. We had such a great first experience! We hope we will get the opportunity to return.

When I went to retrieve my daughter's piece, which was her 19th birthday gift, it was cracked. The owners told me to leave her bowl and they would make another one just like it then I could have both when I came back. Not the best solution, but I'm easy going. I just went to retrieve the bowls and was handed a bowl that only mildly resembles the bowl my daughter made. When I asked for the original I was told that it was thrown out and that I should have not expected to get the original even though the owner that was telling me this heard the conversation where the promise was made! So now I have a random, meaningless bowl. If a piece cracks while at the shop, shouldn't the customer be given the option to remake the item? Yes? If you are going to spend a lot of money for this experience do you want to end up with a product someone else made? No? Seems simple to me!

I visited the gallery and took a masterpiece class I was disappointed and feel bad for anyone else that has to go through this experience. The atmosphere seemed tacky and overpriced. It was unprofessional and unorganized. I see this place has possitive reviews it may depend on the instuctor. During the class I asked the instructor if he had made any of the items in the gallery and he said he had along with some of the other instructors. He was very insistent on how the owner did not make any of it. And afterward when I inquired about a particular piece he said it was an import bought at IKEA and then resold by them as the owner’s art. The instructors rolled his eyes as he told me this. I was flabbergasted I didn’t know what to think. The class area is well kept and well lite but the air ventilation was subpar. There were no windows or doors to the outside so it was near 100 degrees where we were working. For those of you that don’t know it takes a lot of heat to melt glass so be prepared or warned. They did have a nice selection of colors but we were informed some look different after you use them and they had hardly any samples so it was kind of a crap shoot. It was ok though because I have taken a couple other glass blowing classes before and I was there for the experience not to get a perfect piece. After I chose the colors I didn’t get to do much else. I picked up some of the color after the instructor put some glass on the forming rod but he quickly took it away and awkwardly finished the piece over the next 20 minutes. Instead of talking about his art. It was more of a gossip forum about the dysfunction of the management. The piece came out deformed which would be ok if I would have been more hands on. I felt as if I paid 120 dollars to watch someone else learn how to make my piece (The Instructor). When I have taken classes in the past or seen glass blowing at the coast the craftsman always make it look so easy, which it is not and I understand that. But the person instructing me here looked like he was learning or having an off day. The class was only 30 minutes at best. Most of the time is spent waiting on the staff. I have been to many glass studios from Italy to Portland and this is the worst one I have been to. Do yourself a favor and check out any other glass studio

I went in to look at the items they had for sale and to ask about classes. The lady was so rude and impatient that I am happily taking my money else where. I was going to be buying a few gift certificates for birthdays but have picked another place that was a lot nicer.

Last Oct, I attempted to book a group appointment using a 6 person group-on credit before the 'use' deadline (I called on a Sat). I specifically wanted to book on a Fri afternoon or Sat because I was inviting a couple of 12 year old girls, who were only available on school days off. The person who took my call indicated that they couldn't make an appointment at that time because they were in the process of expanding their capacity, but that they would take my name and number and call me back no later than Tues. I remember this because I had a business trip schedule on Tues at night and I specifically asked for a return call before 5pm. I never received a call on that Tues. I followed up with a phone call on the next Sat after I got back from my business trip. The person who took my call was rude and stated that they had no record of my call. She indicated that the only availability for the group on deal was on weekdays only before the expiry. I attempted to see if I could get it scheduled after the expiry, due to the kids schedule, but would not accommodate. The lady was rude - came across like she didn't believe I had called earlier. I contacted Group-on and received a refund, but I am truly disappointed because I purchased this workshop as a gift to a close friend (who is an artist) and our group was excited to try this out. I understand that it can be a challenge as a small business to keep up with demand, but I would expect basic customer service. I typically never post comments, but felt it was important to share my experience.

Not a fan of companies who charge cancelation fees, so just know this is one that does when you schedule.

I took my sister to live Laugh Love Art for a glass blowing session in their hot shop. It was a wonderful experience. The instructor was so friendly and knowledgeable and helped us create a beautiful suncatcher and candy bowl. True treasures that will bring back memories of the fun we had. What a great way to spend an afternoon

I am interested in bringing a family group of 7, which includes 12 & 14 year old girls. I assume a 3 year old would not be a safe choice to participate... What sort of pricing should I expect for the fused glass experience?

Age limit is 10 I believe. Groupon does have coupons, but most likely if you book on their online you will also get discounts. Sign up for their email and you'll receive notices for specials also. They are having spring break specials, and they may even offer group discounts. Enjoy the experience, it is a lot of fun!
