Take this little hike!

Worth every bit of the walk. We had the trail to ourselves in the early evening -- excellent! I think these photos speak for themselves!

We started from the road outside the lava lands visitor center. An easy .5 miles to the falls (more like Rapids). Great view of the fall leaves against the lava on the other side of the river. You can also drive through bend to get to it, start the hike for an additional mile or so from sunriver, or even... More

A good walk or an easy bike ride. Not falls in the true sense but worth the effort in the end.Path is flat and easy walking, plenty of shade.

Beautiful scenery all along the easy trail. Perfect day for a hike. Popular for hikers, runners, trail bikes, it was busy but never felt like too many people. Good time of year for no mosquitoes.

we parked at the top and took trail down to falls. It's absolutely beautiful!! I think it was a little over one mile to the falls, but you get to see the water nice and calm in the beginning then it start picking up until you reach the rushing falls. Well worth it!

We took the half mile walk to the falls. You could have driven straight to the falls, but the walk was beautiful. It was very easy walking along the river and you could see the rapids building. The falls is not really a falls; it's more of a rapids. But it didn't disappoint. There are many photo opportunities.

A nice stroll....certainly not in the category of a hike, but pleasant. Very flat most of the way.....signage not great, as in one spot it was difficult to tell which way the falls were.

Nice level walk including a bridge over the Deschutes river from the east trailhead. About .6 miles one way including the gentle slope to the viewpoint off the west trailhead. The west trailhead is right at the falls and we saw one car come in however there was limited parking. There is also a trailhead in north Sunriver that we... More

With the completion of the "paved" trail to Benham falls from Sunriver the bike trip is excellent. We had gone around the many paths around Sunriver and decided to try this one to the falls. The last time we ventured out the trail was not paved and the ride was a bit rough for a novice like my wife. This... More
