Shopping and eating. Not much else to do. Businesses don’t open until 9:30 or 10:00am. Visited during Covid. Businesses very hesitant to let customers in. At the book store you have to wait for employee to let you in. Asked if you read all their signs about entering and then made to use hand sanitizer. Asked to limit touching anything. I would not have minded so much except the employee wasn’t wearing a mask, only a plastic face shield that didn’t cover enough of her mouth area. Without a mask and only a face shield you are still spreading droplets from your mouth when you speak. Those droplets are spraying downward onto your purchase when you checkout. The hand sanitizer that everyone is touching did not get wiped off between each use. Doesn’t seem right everything the customer is doing to keep others safe and yet the employees are spreading germs.

Very clean town. Well trended landscaping and flowers. Some nice pubic art. Exceptionally clean and green city parks, Creekside and the tiny one next to the Visitor center( no staff, just pamphlets). Dog friendly and, apparently, responsible owners who clean up. No trash, nice grass and shade(Creekside).
No street lights and very poor street intersection signs in most places but some new larger clearer ones here and there. Fairly heavy traffic, especially Cascades Highway Route 20 through town. I was surprised that highway traffic was very good st stooping for pedestrians in crosswalks. Many, many tourist-type shops. Good number of restaurants and cafes, many with outdoor seating. Finally found diesel Number 2 fuel just north of town.

Love this town. Enjoy going to Open Range for metal art and the wood furniture shop. If you go take the road south of town past the Three Creeks area to end of paved road and see the Three Sisters up close. We love staying at the Ponderosa Lodge.

This is a really cool town to walk around, shop in the stores and enjoy get something to eat. The store owners were very friendly and there were a great variety of stores. Also some really cool galleries. We will be back when we have more time to explore.

This little town on the edge of the Cascade Mtns used to be a cute little podunk rest stop. Now it's Yuppie Paradise and not very interesting unless you're a sports enthusiast or wealthy. It's a place to show off your stuff, I guess. Like much of the rest of Central Oregon, it's gone upscale and shallow.

Super cute town outside the mountains with local arts and crafts and touristy STUFF!. What a great stop to stretch your legs. Clean public bathrooms and super cute shops. I want to go back just to be able to stay and walk around a while.

Been out west often, Sisters is my favorite as a traveler. Just the right size. Great little shops and sidewalk feel. Restaurants along main street as well as a block north and south too. Just a great feel ... vendors were also friendly

Sisters is a cute town that I visited as a child. I was looking forward to visiting today, but BLM protesters were attacking vehicles entering the main shopping area. Nope. Won’t be back to a town that allows this. People were holding signs saying that white people need to pay reparations. An elderly lady jumped in the road - in front of moving traffic - and hit the windows of the car in front of us with her sign while screaming. That is not peaceful protesting. Shame on the city for allowing visitors to be attacked. They must not want tourism dollars. They certainly didn’t get mine.

Great place to get stuck with a flat tire on our camper! Really - Les Schwab got us in and fixed our tire in 1.25 hours, $20 and we walked around the beautiful town, stopped and had a beer at "The Hop" and left in a way better frame of mind than when we'd arrived. Sisters is a very cool little town and I hope to go back and spend some more time there!

What a surprising town! All the shop fronts are in typical wild west style and it really looks a bit like a film set. The interesting buildings are not just on the main road but all over town and they are clearly proud of their image with the slogan "All the Town's a Stage." We even found the local the local parcels delivery office (UPS & FedEx) was labelled up as "Pony Express" and there are horse hitching posts all over town.
There are excellent shops and a great ice cream parlour.
Overall highly recommended as an unusual and interesting place to visit.

Concerning COVID-19, how many stores in the city of Sisters Oregon are open and what’s the policy? I’m planning a vacation there for June, and was wanting to know if all the stores will be open or not?

What kind of directional signage does sisters, oregon have on its streets?
Written June 28, 2019
There are 2 main streets. Both are 2 way. Park at either end or in the public parking between stores. The whole town is maybe 4-5 streets long. Easy to walk, easy to drive.
Have fun!

Nope---the Sisters, North, South and Middle are visible (on a clear day) just a bit East of town on the way to Bend. Worth the extra few minutes!
