Strolling through the wide variety of plants, flowers, and trees is so relaxing. Do be prepared for steps and hills. I especially like the free day in April for Earth Day. For Halloween they add scarecrows throughout the garden. If you like water, enjoy the waterfalls, ponds, and streams. Many other events are offered throughout the year. Nearby is a... More

If you like plants, this is a fabulous place to visit for an hour or a day. The Garden has a over 12 special gardens areas - a children's garden, sensory garden, water garden, Lewis & Clark Garden, and more. There is a 25 minute tram ride with a narrative given by the driver. The Garden is accessible friendly -... More

The garden is much larger and much more impressive than I expected. I was apprehensive about the admission price, but the site is very well cared-for and the layout is great. I am not one to seek out a garden as a tourist destination, but this place was truly impressive.

This magnificent garden was a pleasant respite from our busy lives. We enjoyed wandering through the paths, discovering new and unusual plants as well as unique displays. Many benches are scattered throughout for a restful break. The tram travels its path every half hour, so you can jump off and back on at a different stop.

This is an astonishingly well developed garden after only 15 years. The collaboration between private and public sectors has resulted in a great variety of plants and designs. Each area is sponsored by a different nursery, business, or organization. They're reciprocal with other gardens around the States so bring your membership card. Just outside Silverton is a covered bridge, the... More

What a surprise. We had no plan to visit here, but our waitress at lunch mention it to us. My husband who is a plant enthusiast loved it. Ride the tram first and get a good idea where and what to see in detail.

Went here with my nine year old. She enjoyed the children's garden and tire area. We also did some geocaching. Plants were beautiful. Easily can spend hours here. They were busy setting up for a wedding. We were told there were five miles of trails. There is also a tram to take you around the park which offers additional information... More

This is a fun place to walk around and take pictures. If you're getting hot or tired, stop at one of the tram stations and hop on to the guided tour (there are multiple stops throughout the garden). My favorite part was the example of 'managed forest' versus 'unmanaged forest' (I think that's what it was called.) It was cool... More

What a treat to visit these gardens. I recommend taking the tram tour and then walking to the areas of particular interest to you. The children's garden is inviting and fun for the younger children. The gardens are unique and have many Northwest native plants.
