Hawk’s View was lovely! Food was great - very fun charcuterie board, and flatbread pizzas. The wine paired with them beautifully. The view was to die for - Mt Hood front and center, almost looked fake it was so gorgeous with the horses down below. My fave wine was their new Syrah and White Pinot was so refreshing and different.
The staff was lovely, very attentive and knowledgeable.

Fabulous experience even though they appeared to be short staffed. Aleah explained the wines/vines/grapes plus bonus tastes and the tasting room, deck, setting is A+. Enjoyed the tasting menu and charcuterie board (A++). Even joined the wine club—can’t wait for my 1st shipment. Pinot Gris and Blanc were wonderful.

So here we were in the Willamette Valley looking to try some local wines. I had checked various websites and some wineries indicated that tasting was by appointment only and others were rather silent on how to visit. After driving to five different wineries and being turned away because we did not have an appointment, we found Hawks View. Their tastings also require reservations but we were able to sit on the deck and purchase a flight of red and white wines. They also had some appetizers for purchase. It really was a pleasant end to what had been an unexpected hiccup in our trip to the Willamette Valley.

Not family friendly, even for young adults and older teens. Please start asking if everyone is over 21 prior to accepting reservations (where people may drive long distances). Alternatively, make this crystal clear on website in description of tasting options.

I went to this place with my sister and sister in law for some wine excursions at 5:45pm today on a Saturday . This was our first time here. Initially the menu is small which isn't an issue. We ordered the wine tasting menu , charcuterie and a flat bread. It took a while for our food to come, and some of our order was given to another table. In our area , there was one large party and one small table near the wine bar area. Accidents happen which is fine when our order given to another table.
Halfway , we asked for silverware, which never came, and the waitress said at the verrrrryyyy end when we were about to pay , that she couldn't find a fork in the kitchen. ??????
We noticed the waiters kept going over and checking on a larger party. They haven't come back till the very end of our experience when the waitress asked if we wanted anything else , as we proceeded to order, she told us that they were closed.??????? They didn't inform us there was a last call, they didn't check on us, but pretty much told us we can take a bottle to go. I can see if we were in a blind spot, but only three tables on a Saturday evening, right by the wine bar.
The wine was excellent , food was decent. But service needed help. They helped everyone else except us, and it showed, I would have gladly bought a few bottles , but I cannot with the service in this place. Applebee's has better service.
If you are from the younger crowd or even a minority maybe not the best place to go to. That's too bad , I wanted to like this place. I hope there is some retraining, because the lack of care and negligence showed at our table.

We were traveling from Portland to Newberg when we decided to stop. We remember it was rated highly for its view and certainly did not disappoint. It was a beautiful day to sit on the patio and perfect for sparkling rose. We loved the visit and enjoyed the wine.

This is one of the most beautiful tasting rooms and views that we saw in Willamette valley, on our trip this summer that included 10 wineries.
The service is also top notch.
That said it's a winery and it was in the bottom 2 of the places we visited.
I don't want to discourage anyone from going but will tell you that there is better wine to be had.

Was blown away with the views and beauty of the vineyard when we arrived. However, the tables leading to the tasting room were dirty with empty glasses, bottles and leftover food. In the tasting room, even though there were four staff members behind the bar, they were mostly huddled together, meeting with friends, not paying attention to people arriving to the facility. We made eye contact with several of the employees, but they ignored us for 10 mins. When they finally acknowledge us, we left, not tasting any of there products. Very disappointing. Don't waste your time.

Ron:
Thank you for the compliment about the views and the surrounding vineyard, and most importantly thank you for taking time to visit during your journey to wine country. The entire team feels badly that was your experience, and want to assure you that was unusual and are addressing it in our upcoming Tasting Room review meeting. Our wine club members visit regularly and bring huge numbers of family and friends to share in the Hawks View experience, which starts with a warm friendly environment and ends with award-winning wine. Most importantly, we invite you and yours to return next time you visit the Willamette Valley.
Cheers,
A.J. Kemp & Team Hawks View

Another beautiful day and some great fruity white wine and good Pinot. You can’t beat the view on a sunny day. Families having picnics and friends enjoying great conversation while enjoying great wine
