Willamette University is the oldest university west of the Mississippi River. It's located on a large parcel of land in downtown Salem, across from the Capitol Building. Willamette offers a plethora of musical opportunities, with recitals, the Oregon Symphony, and the Salem Philharmonic playing on campus. There is an excellent bookstore, and an excellent cafeteria with whole foods and many... More

Willamette has a stream going through it and many ducks on campus, but it is still just another school. There is nothing interesting about it. Sorry for the blunt truth.

I love this university. It has great landscaping and learning environments. Small school with plenty of study space. Wish I could have attended.

I don't know about the university BUT they have an excellent cafeteria. It's open to the public. They have different stations with different types of food. This cafeteria would definitely be responsible for the "freshman 15". Oh yeah, totally affordable.

This is not college food! Top notch all the way. Plus it's a lovely location along a stream. Walk the campus after your meal.

We helped our daughter to move our grandson into his new dorm and then listened to the football coach inform us what to expect now that he will be playing for the University. All in all, a very pleasant experience and it is a beautiful campus located in the city. Everyone there from the administrators to the staff were extremely... More
