The wines being served at this winery are outstanding. No doubt you will leave the winery with a bottle or two of their Cabernet Franc which is in my opinion is there a signature red wine. It drinks nicely with a fruit forward start, into a subtle dry finish. I took a bottle of this to a local Italian restaurant,... More

We had been seeing ads for this winery for a while claiming they have the big, bold wines we like so decided to check it out. It was disappointing, there is nothing wrong with their wine, we would just consider it average at best. The best part of the tasting was visiting with the gorgeous Akita's.

My wife & I have been visiting & enjoying Spangler wines for several years now. Therefore we were very surprised to read some of the negative comments about Pat in particular. He has been very friendly & inviting to my wife & I & to those of our friends that we have taken there. Having no knowledge of the personalities... More

We had an excellent tasting on Sunday afternoon. The owner stopped in and provided some additional insights. They even poured us a limited release wine and of course we ended up getting a couple bottles. I have visited a number of wineries in the Roseburg area and have found Spangler to be consistently one of the best. Some of the... More

This is another one of my favorite wineries to visit in the Umpqua region. I have been leading fellow RVers to this winery for the last 4 to 5 years. Always a great place to visit and taste/

When it is Wednesday, you should not be serving wine opened on Sunday in the tasting room! The wine might have been terrific but it sure didn't taste that way! Tasting room staff is very nice!

Oregon is generally known for their pinot noir wines, but Spangler Winery offers top rated reds, such as Cabernet Savignon.

I liked a number of their red wines but turns out the better (at least for a fan of big red wines like me) were made from California grapes. Staff was friendly and their "guard dogs" impressive! Tasting room is somewhat small but there were few of us to crowd it.

The first time I went into the Spangler tasting room, I was hosted by Pat Spangler, the owner and winemaker himself, and I've subsequently become friends with his wonderful wife Loree as well. I like Big Hairy Red Wines and believe me Pat make them. They have a cool gift shop as well. Easy access off I-5 at one of... More

This was our 15th Oregon winery visit and we are red wine only drinkers so we tasted the reds. Nice but still a bit on the light side for us so we paid the $5.00 tasting fee but did not take anything home. The greeters were wonderful friendly warm and fuzzy Akita's and they made the stop totally worthwhile. Hubby... More
