Abacela is a world-class, multi-award winning winery and viticulture success story. Founders Earl and Hilda Jones first planted in 1995 they had no way of knowing what the outcome would be. Abacela was an experiment they hoped would answer a...more
Friendly and accommodating staff who encouraged us to go off menu and explore the diversity of wines they produced. The Tempranillo wines were very good, especially the 2015 Fiesta—a fuller red than many others offered in the region.
Exquisite setting in Umpqua wine country. Excellent wines with extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. One can taste and dine on several food options at indoor bar, or sit outside with a glass of their outstanding wine and enjoy a plate. The views are incredible!
My son came out from Arizona to visit. He enjoys wine. We had such a great time tasting several different wines. The food was perfect. The staff was so friendly and highly educated on all the wines. I’v been back a few mor times.

After a couple of hours of giraffes, bison, ostriches pecking at the care window, graceful ibex and more, Bill and I were dying for a drink. Our handy map of the Umpqua Valley's wineries led us to Abacela. The entrance sign touts, "the most interesting...More
The staff helped me set up an elaborate marriage proposal and went out of their way to help us, giving us a private room for our tasting. They are known for their Tempranillo but I though the stars were the garnacha and the Albariño.
