The more time we spend discovering Oregon the more we appreciate what Oregon has to offer and come to understand it is highly underrated. The Painted Hills are no exception,,very unique and very much worth seeing.

Drove the Journey Through Time byway with this as our destination and it was well worth it. Arrived around sunset. Indescribably beautiful. All the trails are really easy to walk.

Location easy to find east of Prineville, just west of Mitchell. A wonderful thing to see if you are traveling to eastern Oregon.

Well worth the drive! Bring water and a picnic, the picnic area is a welcome oasis on a hot summer day. The hills are stunning and shouldn't be missed.
