Very good beer here. Good location with parking. Nice snacks. If you want to visit a brewery, consider this one.

Another Portland Brew Pub
May 2019 • Friends
Brief review: Plenty of choices for all beer lovers. We went on a Sunday, when Jackfruit Food Cart takes over the kitchen. Being vegetarian for over 42 years now, I appreciated that. However, the portion size in relation to high prices kinda left us unimpressed. The food was tasty, but not worth the high price. We purchased one sandwich (very small sandwich), a handful of potato chips and a 3 teeny tiny tacos and two beers. That cost us $40.00, including the tip. For me, this is expensive for lunch. Would we return? eh!

Beer Frenzy
Apr 2019 • Couples
My wife and I wanted some good tasting beer from a reputable Brewery.
Well we were not disappointed.
20 beers on tap plus others in cans and bottles.
This is one of the beers that we drank:
FOUR & TWENTY IMPERIAL BLACK IPA
Culmination - 9.5% - 13oz
And the sour flower in the can- just canned today.
Great place to hang out with friends and enjoy a few fantastic beers brewed on the premises.
They also have food but we wanted just the beers.
The brewery is small but plenty of room with tables and bar to hang out.

Selg Determined and Guided Brewery Tour
Mar 2019 • Couples
The wife and I recently did a self-guided brewery tour while in Portland for a job interview and instead of writing separate reviews, I thought I would put them all into one. To prepare for our afternoon of excess, we decided to have brunch at Screen Door. The place was packed at 10AM on a Friday, however it was worth the wait. The food was excellent in addition to having quite a few things in which to choose from. Now onto the day drinking. We started out at Culmination Brewing. They had a very good selection of different types of beers. We ended up getting a flight of six, which included 3 strong stouts. The beer was all of good quality and the brewery itself was pretty large with good outdoor space. Next we went to Base Camp Brewing where we tried the S’more Stout and the Path of Totality. Again, both beers are of excellent quality. The staff there was very helpful in guiding us to other places to visit on our tour and about the Portland area in general. Base Camp also has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. Next was Cascade Brewing. If you like sours this is the place for you! They also have a few non-sours and even a couple gluten free options. I don’t exactly remember what we had here as the earlier beers where starting to really kick in, but it was good. We also had their cheese plate snack, which had three types of very good cheese. Like the past two breweries, they had a nice outdoor seating area and inside is a decent size. At this point the wife was starting to hit her drinking limit…but we pushed on to Rogue Eastside Pub. Their selection of beer is almost overwhelming, but we managed to find a couple to settle on. We tried the Fruit Salad Cider and Rolling Thunder Imperial Stout. Neither disappointed. We could have easily spent the next 4 hours here trying out many more beers, but if we did that I’d probably be dead so we kept our visit fairly short. Our penultimate stop was at Modern Times Fermentorium. If you are either Generation X or like the 80’s/90’s, you’ll enjoy the décor. They had a more modest menu than say Rogue, but the quality was certainly top notch. At this point, I have no idea what we tried, but it was certainly good, I think one was the Black House Stout, maybe. It was about 3:30PM and the place was already getting fairly crowded, which speaks to the quality of what they make. Our 6th and final stop was Wayfinder Beer. They have a huge outdoor deck that was nearly at capacity, so we sat inside. They had a pretty good food menu and the food was rather tasty. I had the Black Lodge sandwich and the Mrs. had the Jelly Roll. We also split the chocolate silk pie for dessert because why not, at this point we’ve already been drinking all day, so what’s a little more sugar. Speaking of drinking, we had the Beez in the Trap (Ale) and Flower in the Kettle (Hazy IPA). Our server was also really helpful in telling us about the Portland area. Great beer and a nice way to end the day of drinking. So here is the problem, all of the breweries we visited were excellent; if you go to any of them you will not be disappointed. I recommend doing some research to what kind of beer / cider you want and see who has what on tap at that moment in time. Also, the amount of food offering may sway your decision; or just do what we did and hit multiple breweries; there is a decent chance your liver may recover.

Cool, laid back taproom, brief menu
Aug 2018 • Family
Sharing a building (and bathrooms) with a couple of other businesses, very decent array of selections on tap in various styles. Richard the tapmeister had his hands full on a late-lunch shift. Very pleasant guy, took the time to explain how the flights worked and also took the food orders. While we waited for our very tasty food (mac and cheese, and grilled cheese with candy bacon) we sampled the Sour Flower (with raspberry and lime), the Obscured by Clouds hazy IPA (two tasters!), the Choco Mountain Milk Stout on nitro (so smoooooth), the Shiso Wit, and after it came back on tap, a free taster of Golden Hour Summer Stout with cold brew and chocolate - unique! Was a fun and delicious afternoon diversion.

What a nice surprise
Aug 2018 • Family
I popped in here on a Sunday and much to my surprise they host Jackfruit Kitchen for a vegan pop up on Sunday’s. We had the best food which was just totally unexpected. I highly recommend eating here on a Sunday which is the only day they do this. Their beer is good too. They mainly offer their own beers but they did have some others from around town on tap too.

Solid Beers and Food
Apr 2018 • Couples
We sampled a few flights of beer to find our favorites, plus had the pretzel, cheese board, and pub salad with candied bacon. The cheese board arrived with no explanation, but it was tasty, as were the pretzel and salad. Favorite beers were the Phaedrus IPA and Kriek Mythology.

Easy to find and staff was great. Good crowd on a nice Wednesday evening.

Nice little neigborhood craft brew bar
Apr 2018 • Friends
We walked over for an evening brew. Their selection was very good. I like that I was able to try a couple to see just what one I wanted to try. It was not easy! Nice atmosphere, with an outside area where a lot of people were sitting. I had the Kriek Mythology and really enjoyed it ...

Great beer, great Indian food
Mar 2018 • Friends
We visited on a Monday evening to enjoy beer and the BHUNA restaurant pop-up currently in residence on Monday nights. The Phaedrus IPA was amazing, great fruit notes, slightly bitter finish. We tried the Vic's Secret too and agreed it was similar but didn't like it as much. It's a little less bitter, but maybe a hair less in every way. The real draw for us was the food and it didn't disappoint. We had the calamari (fried in chick pea flour - so gluten-friendly), pakoras, naan, eggplant and tomato, and kohlrabi and collards. Everything was excellent. The fried appetizers were light, with great seasoning and fresh herbs layered throughout. The naan had a spicy spread on it, and both of the vegetables were spicy in a great way. The eggplant and tomato was sweet and sour, with all kinds of warmth from cinnamon, cumin, and ginger. The kohlrabi (a first time for me) and collards had chili and a type of fennel powder that I can only describe as Indian garlic. We were sorry we missed the potatoes as we saw someone else wolfing those down at another table. We also passed on the meat dishes but they looked and sounded great too. Do yourself a favor and don't miss this combo if you have a chance. It's a bit of a hike from downtown, but if you can figure out the bus/tram or are willing to fork out under $10 each way for Uber, it is worth it. No dessert but there is hard cider on tap. Get there early if you want to be sure to get a table.

consistent across the board
Mar 2018 • Couples
ok let me start out saying consistent beers but far from my favorite. But nonetheless good effort, keep it up. We had some simple dishes, they were fine (charcuterie plate needs improvement) with a few of our beer tasters (all were consistent, pleasant). Everyone was nice (we showed up on a Saturday, it was busy).
