I had the great pleasure of joining a friend for Dan's private wine tour last week. It is difficult to not have fun wine-tasing in the Willamette Valley, but this tour took our day to NEXT LEVEL. First of all, he personalized our tour to match our wine preferences (just from us telling him what we would normally purchase at the wine store) and set up private appointments best for my friend's 7 month old to come along with us. We learned about wine (and the passion for it) from the owner's, and got a massive education on the history of WV wines, soil, and what grows best where and why. If you're wondering if a private tour is worth it, the answer is YES. Book Triangle Wine Country Tours and have the experience of a lifetime!

Thank you for the awesome review kless2019! Hosting you for the day was a blast. Educating our guests about the Willamette Valley and it’s wines are why we love touring. And having fun while doing it is always our goal. We’re looking forward to taking you to the ‘next level’ again soon!

Our group of 4 had a fabulous time! We've been on many wine tours but learned many new insights regarding everything from the different soil types to variatal comparisons in different parts of the world in addition to Oregon. Best part was that we were taken to small, very personable wineries with beautiful settings, attentive staff, interesting stories and great wine. Thanks for the fun.

The whole wine tasting event was fantastic from beginning. We were picked up at the door of our Airbnb by our hosts Michele, who taught us about the wines of Oregon and her husband John who drove us everywhere. We went to 3 wineries that were all unique with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Had a great lunch and was treated extra special because it was my birthday. I would highly recommend this to anyone if they want a small group rather than a bus load of people.

Thank you Debi! It was a pleasure to tour with you and your friends! I am glad we were able to show you around the Willamette Valley and hope you will be back to visit more wineries, maybe when the weather is warmer and sunnier? The benefit of touring in the spring is that the lighter crowds means more attention at the wineries and chances for extra tastings of the new releases. Glad you found new wines to like in OR!

This tour was amazing! My friends and I did not want to worry about driving so all of us could enjoy our tastings, and we loved they picked us up from our airbnb (Lake Oswego) area). They were punctual, the van was very nice, clean, and roomy for our party of 5 and Michelle was a great combo of informative, fun, but also let our group have our time together. Her husband was a very good driver and nice to chat with. They were both such a delight and this tour was amazing! The Durant winery they took us for lunch was delicious and also has olive oil! Will always recommed.

We had a phenomenal experience with Triangle Wine Country tours for our team retreat in the Willamette Valley. Michele thoughtfully chose three wineries that not only exceeded our expectations but also gave us a true experience of the valley and its unique wine offerings. Michele was extremely knowledgeable of both winemaking and the region which added an awesome learning experience for our party of 7. I'd recommend this tour company over and over again.

Thank you Ragan! We so enjoyed your group! Your enthusiasm and comraderie made it a pleasure to tour with your team. I'm glad my choices were right for you, we visited a small-boutique winery, mid sized and larger winery to give your group a range of experiences since your company services the wine industry. And also give you a flavor the amazing people who work here, not to mention the great wine they make. The Willamette Valley is more than Pinot Noir, so I hope this came thru too. Please come back and find more great wineries here!

We had the best time with Michele, John, and their dog Cassie! They took us to three beautiful wineries and did a great job educating us while us giving us space to enjoy the experience with our friends. An extra bonus is that they offer pick-ups from Portland for a very reasonable fee.
I cannot recommend them enough if you want to explore wineries in the Willamette Valley!

Triangle is the best - A+. We have used several car services in Napa and Sonoma numerous times. Michelle and John are the best! They are timely, offer a lot of suggestions and are very much in detail. We wanted to purchase a certain wine and she made it happen - we went to the winery and Penner-Ash was so accommodating. The Oregon treat bag was such a nice touch. Michelle and John are knowledgeable and so much fun. They wanted us to have an A+ time. Yes, they are the best!. Michelle is so personable.

We would be delighted to take you to more great wineries and find more amazing wines, scenery and people-and meet more winemaker/owners! Thanks again it was a pleasure to tour with your group

Our day of wine tasting with Triangle Wine Tours was absolutely perfect. Michele was easy to communicate with and used her expert knowledge to pick the wineries for our tour. We were picked up right outside of our hotel in downtown Portland in a comfy van. They provided snacks as well as a download on the area and wine industry. They made sure we got 5-star service at all the wineries, and we even got to taste a few extra wines that weren’t on our flights. The Triangle Wine team made the whole process so easy and fun. I would definitely recommend them for your wine tasting tour!

Triangle Wine Country Tours is THE choice for touring the Wilamette Valley. John and Michele are wonderful. Their communication is great. Since we did some touring on our own the day before, we let them pick and book all of our tour stops - and they picked some great ones! The van was large and comfortable and had everything we needed. Of course, John and Michele will take care of special requests. They will definitely work with you to make the perfect trip and tour! Highly recommend!

Our tour with Michelle and John exceeded our expectations! Our pickup was prompt and our drive through the beautiful countryside of the area to 4 amazing wineries was very professional. Their wealth of knowledge of the wine country area, wine and beyond was shared in a fun, friendly and exciting way. We loved each of the wineries they took us to for very special wine tastings. They are absolutely the ones you want to spend your time with on a wine tasting tour. We had such a great day…thanks tons❤️

Do you have availability on Friday July 6 for two people for a day tour? If not Friday (which is our preference), could Thursday the 5th or Sat the 6th work? We’d be happy to join another small group. We haven’t made lodging reservations yet - from what areas do you pickup / do you have any lodging recommendations that might still have availability for that holiday weekend?
Written June 24, 2018
Hello. I can do the 5th or the 8th but we are booked on the 6th and 7th. Will one of those days work for you? I don't have anyone booked on those days right now so it would just be the three of us. Both the 5th and the 8th are available to book online also.

We will be staying at The Red Lion Inn on Hayden Island for a couple days after coming off a week long boat trip down the Columbia River. We are very interested in doing a wine tour on either Saturday or Sunday and wondered what the possibilities were due to the location of our hotel. Thank you.
Written April 14, 2018
The location is no problem as we pick up from most locations (hotels, B&B's, rentals, etc) in the Portland Metro area. Feel free to make your reservation online and we'll see you soon!

I have a question about the hot air balloon flight and wine tour. I know that the hot air balloon part is very dependant on weather. IF the hot air balloon is not able to go on the day we pick, what happens? are we refunded part of the fees and still do the wine tour? Thanks
Written August 4, 2017
Hello. Most flight cancellations occur 24 hours in advance to insure that we can still do the wine tour portion. You can choose to reschedule the flight or just obtain a refund for that portion if you're traveling. Even if the flight is cancelled that morning, we can still do the wine tour portion.

We are staying downtown Portland and this tour looks fun! Wondering if they pick you up from your hotel? We will not have a rental car and finding transportation so early in the morning could be tricky....has anyone been to the wineries? You pay 30 at each one? 15 per person?
Written June 27, 2017
Hi Dayna. If you're doing the hot air balloon flight and wine tour package then you are responsible for transportation to the Newberg Airpark since the flight experience begins before sunrise. From Portland, you have many choices like a taxi or Uber. After the wine tour portion we'll bring you back downtown. If you're just doing the wine tour then we provide door-to-door transportation. Tasting fees at the wineries are usually around $15 and are included in our all-inclusive rate. And yes, this is an awesome tour that is fun, informative and memorable!
