Thank You!
Aug 2020
We always really enjoyed this place, especially the rooftop patio. Have seen a couple of great concerts here, but that's not happening right now, so just go straight to the roof! We are really watching out for our health right now and are shocked by how unconcerned some places and their guests have been - but this place was perfect:

- They request you to reserve a spot on OpenTable, which is fine. If that's too much for you, don't come and I'm sure somebody else will enjoy the view for you.
- They have a simple check-in system to ensure compliance and manage the new arrivals. Very efficient and low impact.
- Roof access used to be limited to the elevator, and that sometimes took a while. You can still do that, but since only one party is allowed in at a time you can also now take the stairs. It's five flights, but hey, you know the exercise is good for you. And you know you earned your drink!
- You go to your table and you stay there. They have a small but fine selection of food and drinks, perfect for the late Summer sunny days.
- Many folks want to take a pic of their friends and the skyline, and they have a spot reserved for photo opportunities. This is especially thoughtful, as we have been at other scenic locations where the unmasked dopes were all over the place.
- Very simple process: every table is sterilized before you are seated, easily recognizable by a book that they place on the table when the cleaning is done.

Why can't everybody handle the situation this way? Really worth the trip, for the food & drink, for the view and for the positive experience. Alle Achtung!

What a great idea!
Aug 2020 • Friends
Washington High School in SE Portland converted into a Patio restaurant, Roof Top Bar, a Lounge, an Events Place...so many places to enjoy great times together. Our Roof Deck visit was wonderful..cold draughts, drinks, small eats ( we ordered onion rings and fries ) and spectacular views of Portland. Staff very courteous, cheerful and friendly. I will certainly go back soon!

Very Comfortable and Accessible Event Venue
Nov 2019
This location sports several bars and restaurants, as well as being walking distance from a number of gourmet restaurants in the neighborhood. It is an older building, but for both lectures and concerts; the seats are so close, you can't go wrong. As this was originally a school district lecture hall, some of the the seats are a bit 'firm', but those a bit further back are soft and fluffy. Ample parking right outside.

Wedding!
Sep 2019
We had our wedding on the rooftop at Revolution Hall and the reception in Show Bar. It was just amazing. The staff did a spectacular job of being right where we needed them to be every moment, the setting is gorgeous. Exceeded our wildest expectations. Thanks so much to the whole squad. If I could get married there again I would :)

Great musical venue
Oct 2019
This venue is the perfect size to watch a concert. No made seats. The atmosphere was electric but somewhat intimate due to now having thousands of seats. Would absolutely go again. There is bar and food service available so drinkers can have food and beverage in their seats

Great venue for entertainment in Portland
Oct 2019
This is an old high school in the 1920's that was closed down and then totally refurbished . The concert area seats approx 500 people ? Upstairs and downstairs in the old elegant auditorium . There are at least 2 bars open at all times ! 2 good sized bars are downstairs, and in good weather there is an upstairs bar with tables and chairs , with views of the city . They do serve pub food too. Lots of parking in the lot off 14th st , or on the streets. Get there early for best parking and best seats if the gig is gen. admission. Traffic can be a snarl in that area , so plan ahead. Very good sound system . Well run by a courteous staff . I think its a great venue .

You’ll Never be Too Cool For School at Revolution Hall
Aug 2019 • Friends
It’s time to embrace higher education! Take the elevator to the roof top bar and eatery on the top floor of this former high school and you’ll be more than happy when class (the bar opens) begins!

Set inside a former public education facility, Revolution Hall is composed of numerous full service and character rich alcohol dispensaries, a large concert/comedy/theater venue, an outdoor ground level patio and a large roof top bar. Wandering around this behemoth of a building you will be pleasantly surprised with all that it has to offer. Couple that with a friendly and helpful staff and you’re going to start dreading the phrase “Schools out for the summer!”

We were very fortunate to visit the night of a Ron Funches show - what a treat!

Grab your Jansport and a composition book, sharpen your pencils and get your Texas Instruments calculator some fresh batteries....because schools in session at Revolution Hall!

Very cool Portland vibe and view from the roof
Jul 2019 • Couples
On a warm sunny day it is almost impossible to beat the views on this east side bar. In an old converted high school that hosts events but also has a restaurant and coffee shop. NIce people quick service and lots of seating.

Totally Blown Away -- Terrific Venue
Jun 2019 • Solo
This is an event venue in a converted old Portland high school. "Converted" doesn't cover it. I came here for a music venue, arrived early, and was welcomed in to a small bar with a terrific array of on-tap beers. I walked through the place, enjoying the funky but classy design upgrades and ended taking the elevator up to the Roof Bar. The Roof was teeming with activity but never felt stressed or overcrowded. You could eat, drink or just enjoy at one of the many benches and tables. Really chill. OH! The band was terrific (Josh Ritter) and I was surrounded by likable, attractive and chill 40-somethings. A GREAT venue -- large enough to attract talent, but small enough to see the singers' lips move. (I still had a few sips of beer to enjoy -- and no hassle taking it in.) One of the most enjoyable place + music venues I've ever visited. A real Portland vibe -- in a good way.

Fun roof bar
May 2019 • Couples
Came here for a concert but ended up arriving early so we decided to check out this place and found the roof top bar. Drinks were good. Customer service was good as well. We will return during the summer.
