Even if you are an Oregon resident, you will learn and enjoy Clem's encyclopedic knowledge and his wonderful personality. We started in Salem (where I live) and drove up to Cape Meares Light, stopping at several delightful off-the-beaten-track places along the way. From there we turned south along the coast to Devil's Punchbowl where we encountered a very close Gray Whale.

Our group of 12 had a fantastic experience across 2 days - a tour of 3 wineries near Portland and a trip to Hood River. The wine tastings chosen by Best Oregon Tours were unique and a great sample of Portland’s wine scene. We especially appreciate the extra work put in by Clem to find wineries that could accommodate our large group size. The Hood River adventure included kayaking / SUP on the Columbia River, a lunch overlooking the Bridge of the Gods, and than a fun last-minute addition to see Herman the Sturgeon. Best Oregon Tours was always one step ahead to make sure that our group had a magical trip. Thank you!

Our group of four took an all day tour of Oregon with Clem. It was truly the best tour any of us had ever taken. We were picked up on time and driven around in an extremely comfortable touring van. Clem was so knowledgeable about everything. There were many stops along the way and the sites he showed us were incredible. We were taken from Gaston (where we were staying) to the Columbia River Gorge. Along the way we were taken to beautiful small towns, water falls, a winery, historic sites, and the most beautiful terrain you could imagine. He even managed to take us through downtown Portland and through Washington Park. The whole day was wonderful and truly made our first trip to Oregon one we will always remember.

We engaged Best Oregon Tours for a private one day tour of three winery’s in the Dundee Hills area. Cliff’s team picked us up at our ship location, and provided a wonderful narrated tour of this region. We visited three unique wineries, purchased some special wines and had a relaxing lunch. His team accommodated us by dropping us off at our airport hotel. A special day of touring.

We only had a few days to spend in Eugene, but wanted very much to get a sense of the countryside—taking Best Oregon Tours did just that and more. While we initially signed up for a covered bridges tour, Clem (owner and guide for the day) designed an itinerary with the bridges and an insightfully rich introduction to the region. He was flexible in shaping the itinerary to not only meet our interests but also to include sites we would not have discovered on our own, including vineyards and other producers of local specialized products . What we really enjoyed, though, was his knowledge of the architecture, history and current state of rural life in Oregon—and the enthusiastic and personable way in which he shared it. Best of Oregon Tours—highly recommended!
