Portland Walking Tours’ fun and award-winning events explore the excitement, history, food, architecture, neighborhoods, bridges, parks, fountains, artwork, and just plain weird places in Portland Oregon. Tours include the award-winning “Best of Portland,” showcasing what makes Portland such a fabulous place to live and visit (daily, 10 AM and 2 PM); our scandalous “Underground Portland,” aka "the worst of Portland," revealing both the physical and metaphorical subterranean story of Portland's sordid past; the eerie “Beyond Bizarre”, a hands-on exploration of Portland's paranormal, using real ghost-hunting equipment as seen on shows like "Ghost Adventurer" (TM) and "Paranormal State" (TM); our delicious “Epicurean Excursion” walking tour, a tasty immersion into Portland's amazing culinary "slow food" scene; our indulgent “Chocolate Decadence Tour," exploring and sampling chocolate in its many solid and liquid forms, from bean to bar and everything in between; "Roses Gone Wild!", which dishes the dirt on Portland's famous International Rose Test Gardens; and "Flavor Street," where you taste the best of Portland's incredible food cart scene - and skip the rest.

Richard is an excellent tour guide, very pleasant and full of interesting tidbits. Though I am a native portlander, I learned about places and things new to me. I recommend the tour and Richard highly. It's a great way to learn about a marvelous city and its special quirks!

John was an amazing an entertaining tour guide for a little over an hour of Portland's early history of drinking, gambling, and corruption. It also explains the myths about the underground tunnels and their true uses.

We learned lots of cool things on the Best of Portland tour, saw interesting things, and figured out how to better navigate the city. Diane was a great guide. Very glad we did this and recommend it highly. I want to go back and try their food tours too.

My husband and I wanted a overall tour to get a good feel for downtown Portland so we did the "Best of Portland" tour with these guys. Our guide Brian was very knowledgeable and added in extra details when I expressed an interest in one of our favourite TV programs "Grimm" (so make sure you speak up if you want... More

While in Portland I went on two walking tours on the same day. I participated in the "Underground Walking Tour" and the "Best of Portland" tour. Both were equally good and they complimented each other perfectly. The first talks about the seedy underside of Portand and the second is more of a typical historical tour. Both tour guides were knowledgeable... More

Our tour guide, Dianne is a long time resident of Portland, Oregon. She was knowledgeable extremely interesting. They keep their tour groups small, about ten people.

This Portland tour teaches about the unknown, seedy side of Portland. Our guide was very informed and excited to share his knowledge about the Portland of years gone by. The walk took us to many of the buildings that played a part in that history. We had hoped to see more of the mythical Shanghai Tunnels- but found that the tunnels... More

Was looking for a tour of Portland during my visit when I came across the Portland walking tours. I went with the underground tour because they mention exploring the ruins of the shanghai tunnels. Tour guid was John who was really informative on taking us by key points of Portland's history along with keeping it fun. Only wish there was... More

This was a 3+ hour tour for $60/pp. we made 9 stops. Extremely disappointing. We were told to come hungry at 2:30. Stop #1-3 ozs of liquid chocolate. Stop #2-2 tsps of olive oil & 2 tsps of balsamic vinegar. Stop #3-1/2 of a deviled egg & 4 ozs of a gimlet. Stop #4-2 bite sized dumplings. Stop #5-3 different... More

We took the Epicurean Excursion which is a food walking tour of Portland. Our tour guide ,Alisha (excuse me if I spelled it wrong!) was wonderful. She has the perfect personality for this job. She picked out about 8 places for us to go to. She also told us history of the places we visited. The places we went all knew... More
