The view is underwhelming, and there really isn't much to do up there other that snap a pic (you arrive at a hospital). The fare isn't that expensive so its not a big loss, but not really worth the time.

We rode the Aerial Tram on our first night in Portland. It was easy to purchase the tickets using the ticket machine at the base of the tram. There was a small group riding it. You get great views over the city as you ride...More

Although it's really just a quick blip on the radar timewise, we loved it. We were fortunate enough to have a clear day and the views are amazing. The trip up was really fun - expect a swing! You can get off and go to...More

Simple Aerial tram ride from street level up to the hospital/university. Small fee to be paid but only on the upward journey. On a clear day the city and river are beautiful but little point if visibility is poor.

When heading to the medical center or out for a joy ride, this a fun form of travel avoiding mountain climb! Cars need air conditioning!!!! but everyone seems to survive the short trip

Goes from OHSU Medical Center to the OHSU hospital complex. The tram's lower terminus is at ground level. The upper terminus is on the ninth floor of the Kohler Pavilion. It is quite a trip if one is scared of heights. Very nice view of...More

We had seen the tram as we drove around Portland, so we decided to take it up to the top and back. We had a magical view of all of Portland with Mount Hood looming like a ghost in the clouds in the far distance.

There's usually no wait, as long as you're not trying to get on at rush hour when a bunch of people are trying to get up to work at OHSU.
