The tram between the Marquam Hill and Waterfront Campuses of OHSU has become a familiar sight in Portland. I've ridden on it a few times now. Its a great way to see the city from above. Either end of the tram offers some good cafe eateries. And the view from the top is awesome. If you're in Portland for a... More

Take a quick ride in the aerial tram for a snapshot of the city. Roundtrip about 8-10 minutes. Tram is mostly for hospital staff & patients, but tourist are allowed to ride.

Had been to Portland several times and finally was able to take the Tram!! It's worth the price of the ticket. Go on a clear day and you get great views. Make sure you go out on the terraces at the hospital for some spectacular views.

Rode down after visiting family in the hospital to walk on the waterfront. Fun ride with great view.

Great views, no matter the weather. If it's overcast and raining, you get beautiful views of the city and a true view of Oregon. If it's clear, you get even better views, including Mt. Hood and Mt. Saint Helens.

Ok...heard alot about this so we went. Cost was $4.55 round trip...not bad. Free parking...nice. Use GPS...hard to find. It goes up to the hospital center so it's not scenic per se. Its for patients and hospital staff. The view of the city is ok but I don't care for Portland so didn't care to see it in panoramic view.... More

We decided to ride the tram out of curiosity. It's $5 per person if you start at the bottom. If you start at the top where the hospital is, it's FREE going down! The view is great from the top. The tram doesn't really move around much, so don't worry. There's a little dip at the end on the way... More

I didn't realize that this was a routine locals route to get to the hospital at the top. The locals on the tram were super nice and pointed out the mountains. The view is outstanding on a clear day. The cost is less than $5 for round trip. We walked from the downtown area. Great way to spend a morning.

The tram is actually pretty cool. Being a local Portlander, I remember when they built it several years ago. My recommendation would be to not just do the tram on it's own - include several other fun Portland sites in your trip since the tram ride only lasts a few minutes. Also, if you're able to start at the top,... More
