The tram offers wonderful views of the city and the river and is part of the 4T Trail which you MUST do if you have time in Portland.

this tram takes you to the hospital which is very nice and has amazing views of Portland, but that's it.

Could hardly wait to ride the tram, having watched the cables being pulled into place and having even seen a practice emergency evacuation drill in the old Lair Hill neighborhood. Worth the trip for the view and when you get up to the top there is an opportunity to walk around in the Oregon Health Sciences University terraced area to... More

On our last day in Portland, we visited the Portland Aerial Tram. I highly recommend that all tourists visit here! The tram connects two hospital wings together so many doctors, nurses, and patients take it back and forth. However, there were many people taking the tram when we visited. It didn't take very long to wait in line and the... More

Took the tram as part of a tour. When you enter, grab hold if you can, it gets bumpy at one point. At the top is the Oregon Health & Science University campus and hospital. There is a deck outside that overlooks the city. You can get some nice views and photos on a clear day.

My husband & I did not realize that this tram only went to the hospital and back however the views of the city are so spectacular from the ride up and the views from up above in the vista areas are so wonderful that it was worth it!

I find the people crawling out of this tram every few minutes fascinating. I never realized I was a people watcher but I wait in the lobby between appointments and just watch students, workers, doctors, patients, greeters, nurses come rolling out around and through the building.

We took the Aerial Tram with out of town family. My husband and I didn't communicate very well and we ended up with 5 extra tickets (we both bought for the trip). Since the tickets are one day only, we were afraid we were out of luck. However, the conductor exchanged our extra one day tickets for unlimited date tickets... More

My husband and I visited Portland a few weeks ago and decided to ride the tram for some good views. We actually took the bus to the top station first, and rode down. This does not require a ticket to ride down, but you must purchase one to get back up! It was fun to see the hospital/university campus that... More
