We went to The Living Room Theater for the first time this past weekend. I didn't know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. The seats were extremely comfortable the screen was crystal clear and the sound was top notch. The "concession" candy was really well priced and the popcorn smelled wonderful. We did both have an Italian Soda... More

My wife and I love this place. Always a good selection of movies and foreign films that would never hit the regular circuit. Theater has a small restaurant but better yet, a staff member will bring a tray to fix at your seat with your meal. Plus, Monday/Tuesday matinees only $5, I think.

The food is exceptional for movie venue. I usually order one of the well conceived paninis ,never lets me down . My wife enjoyed her salad. Drinks are generously pored and service is topnotch.

This is a wonderful way to watch a movie! The seats are comfortable, with plenty of leg room and good sight lines. You can order a range of hot and cold foods, beer and other beverages. The selection of movies (especially Indie and foreign) is refreshing. You can buy your tickets on line for reserved seats. If you go to... More

You can order really good food and watch a movie while you eat. The movies have real chairs and they bring food in so you can enjoy both movie and food if you choose too. The viewing theater rooms are small and intimate. You can also just eat in their restaurant and not see a movie. A great place to... More

Good food and drinks and a very cozy atmosphere. I would definitely recommend going to anyone looking to see a good independent film!

What more can you ask for, but to set down in a comfortable seat and have someone server you? I have been here a few times, before and find this theater has some movies that are not playing anywhere else. The theater is modern and sleek as well as their bathrooms. Loved the experience. Watch our for the parking garage... More

The Living Room shows all the great indie and foreign films, plus they offer a full food and drink menu. You can eat in the café or inside while you watch the movie. I like the chairs and small tables in the back of the cinema halls. It is like watching at home. Very comfortable. Living Room is right downtown... More

There are a lot of theaters around that have gone the premium route - this is Portland's take on the idea. Food was handmade and local, even the nonalcoholic drinks were creative, and the service was pleasant and helpful. A great way to take a break on a rainy afternoon.

Caught a matinee on a rainy day. The seating is very comfortable and the theaters are small and intimate. Not your typical movie going experience - this is a lot better than a huge multiplex. Great location downtown near Powell's Books.
