Our expert local guides will take you past the modern identity of Portland back to a more dangerous era, where murders, kidnappings, and organized crime could be found behind most of the elegant storefronts of the city. Listen to stories taken straight out of the true history of the last 150 years, and watch for yourself as the spirits of the past can still be seen today.

I tripped over a step, slamming my jaw, neck & shoulder into the seats. The manager's immediate response was to say he'd "been telling the owner to fix that step." I shifted my C1, C6, C7 in my neck & messed up my shoulder. The theater's insurance company refuses to take responsibility for the fall. They know trip & fall cases are hard to prove in Oregon and don't even have a med-pay provision to help cover my medical & treatment expenses, nevermind loss of income. So, this old theater may be beautiful, but be careful because the owner does not care.

We really enjoyed this little neighborhood theater in NW Portland! It has comfortable seats, a good range of snacks, friendly staff members and reasonable prices... but NO PARKING. We were very fortunate to find on street parking, but that was pricey at $1.60 per hour! We drove for two hours to get to Cinema 21 because they were the only theater showing the movie that we wanted to see...

Kind of a blah place, but show slightly out of the mainstream films, easy access, good popcorn. Smells kind of musty.

I've been a background actor for numerous locally filmed TV shows and movies. Recently, Leave No Trace viewed at Cinema 21. I got to see myself on the big screen. The theater is very nice. I purchased my tickets online and was able to walk right in, avoiding the long lines at the booth. Nice lobby area and a roomy theater seating. Nice sound system. You must take stairs to the concessions and restroom. I watched a few elderly persons confused on how to get there.
