Clean and nicely priced way to get around Portland. Numerous stops can get you anywhere. The app was great to get schedules and stops and figure how to get there. Felt comfortable and safe. New vending machines at stops to get daily/hourly passes. Sure beats...More

Took Max from the airport through downtown. You are required to buy a ticket but it was obvious that most locals just take their chances. Lots of scared-looking locals and perplexed visitors. Several obviously mentally ill homeless fellow travelers vieing for attention, and one gentleman...More

In researching how to get from Portland's airport to the Duniway Hotel (Hilton), the MAX (red line) was the obvious choice for ease, price and convenience. $2.50 is a steal compared to shared vans, taxi or other options. On one of my rides, the car...More

Ditch the car and hop on board one of the MAX trains. These affordable trains move between East and West Portland, North and South Portland, and connect with transit further away (Wilsonville). Avoid the traffic, jams, and heavy traffic and enjoy the view.

Good and cheap transport to get around Portland. We used the MAX to travel downtown and found it the best way to travel to the airport - and only $2.50. Wonderful value

During my recent visit to Portland, I rode the MAX from the Portland Airport (PDX) to downtown on my arrival and from Beaverton to PDX on my departure. I purchased the minimum $2.50 ticket from machines before boarding. During rush hour especially, this is your...More

Great option to get from airport to our hotel - much cheaper than a cab or uber. Just allow enough time to make all the transfers.

Great choice for going green if you need to travel along the routes. Cars are clean and well lit. Monthly passes, and senior citizen rates, make the MAX a cheap way to travel. Buy tickets before boarding. Prices are very reasonable. Enforcement is sketchy, especially...More

If you can, do rent a car to visit the gorge area. There are so many waterfalls to see, places to hike (short to long, easy to difficult), and views to enjoy.

I don't believe so. This is a city / suburban service. Eugene is almost 2hours south of Portland on I5.
